Worried - NACA Submitted since 1/20/09 and still nothing

Rumor,
They submitted for a $7,000 principle reduction 3 % for life. Wow just called NACA and am only #18! That`s a record!!! Might now more in a few minutes.

Man only once have I ever talked to someone at NACA and felt better. I usually feel as though the person I`m talking to is nearly as incompetent as those at BOA. I know there services are free so it`s hard to complain, but wow!

"Haven`t heard anything," "check back in a week or so", "hasn`t been looked at yet", "45-120 days" yada yada.

The only hope I felt was "maybe you`ll be one of the 1,000 BOA is going to modify in the next week". Huh? My file hasn`t been looked at yet but maybe I`m being modified?

I keep hearing different #s being thrown around and am starting to feel like the odds are similar to winning the lottery. 1,000 after how long? A couple months anyway. What a joke!

3/18 was the last time NACA sent out approval so approx. 2 months and 1000 mods. Just pitiful on the part of BOA.

I decided that I'm going to try my hardest to not call Naca or CW anymore for the next couple of weeks for any updates. Not unless I hear something from either one of them. I just get off the phone feeling discouraged and I'm just tired of feeling that way.

Just got a call from a BOA negotiator Jennifer. Said she had been assigned to my case. Told her I was with NACA she said she couldn`t work with me unless I wanted to drop NACA, I said sure if you`ll offer me 3% and a $7,000 principle reduction. She said she didn`t know about that and that that was extreme. I said hook me up with someone that negotiates with NACA than because I need a permanenet solution. she said she`d look into it. Don`t know if that was the MOD or the negotiator.

She told me there was not a sale date despite the letter I recieved yesterday!!! She also gave me her direct # and said she`d respond within 1 day! Things are at least moving!

It was after, but I don`t think it was related, because they called yesterday for the first time and said they were assigning me a negotiator. She called today and said she doesn`t handle NACA cases and would refer me to someone that did, unless I was interested in going without them.

I`m dumbfounded by how clueless they actually are. NACA submitted 1/27 I had a sale date of 5/11 removed, they sent me another sale date yesterday(which she said doesn`t exist), and they assign me a negotiator that doesn`t negotiate NACA proposals, go figure.

NACA had told us to keep our payments current if we could, just in case. Then when I told them last week that I had not been able to pay in April and was considering just stopping altogether because I was so frustrated at trying to get the payment in, and never hearing any news on my restructure. The rep just said "well thats up to you and we will ask for an update to your account call back in 2 weeks." Sometimes I just feel like crying after I speak with them, they used to be real hopeful when I would call. Last couple of times they were less friendly, and last rep even told me that after 120 days the contract with CW to restructue would end, but found out later that was not true. Guess maybe they are overworked too

I just posted in another thread, and it`s JMO that if it`s not going to work unless they restructure I personally am not giving them another dime. I haven`t made a payment in 8 months, all I`d be able to do is delay the inevitable, I already burned my 20,000 in savings I wish I had back, they got their bailout, it`s time they helped us a little.

Hello all,
Jennifer from CW/BOA just called for the 2nd time today, she now says my file has already been assigned a negotiator, that does work with NACA and the investor (Fannie Mae) would definitely be making a decision by the end of the month! She said that she is not very familiar with NACA mods but was very nice, and answered some questions. She said that there are some "very good" mods coming out of FM and that it is possible that my proposal could even come back lower than NACAs #s(could come back high too=). Anyway she said she would be monitoring it every couple days and would call me as soon as she found out something, but I would know by the 31st. This has been the most extreme emotional rollar coster ride I`ve ever been on, and finally it looks to be coming to an end! Here`s hoping some of you guys are there too!

Before I make a payment today I may call NACA and see what they think about the call I got after my email to office of Pres. at BofA. That girl said to give NACA her direct line and she would have them fax our file to her to get to a NACA negotiator. I am not supposed to call for another week, but at this point I can't afford to keep waiting. Maybe NACA will say we are in the batch of mods that are supposed to be going out,LOL. Would think our mod would have moved faster, since Freddie Mac is the investor. We have been told that that was a good thing because they would be more likely to work with NACA, but beginning to wonder.
Not paying again is scary, we are the only one in family who owns a home at this time, and with youngest son being out of work also, and his landlord having home up for short sale....well you all know what happens if he can't sell it. Our son would love to buy the home, guy would short sale it to him for $20000! What a time to be out of work. Bottom line is, at some point we may have to double up in one house, just to keep going. At least our oldest has a steady job driving OTR at least for now.
We have been looking at rental ads, homes few and far between and with so many looking supply and demand is taking over, meaning rents are going up and up and everyone is looking for good credit(gone) and verification of employment(gone for husband & I don't make enough to afford rent).Also have seen some homes with for rent signs and a month later the foreclosure notice in on the door. Lots of scam artists here too, just had one where a guy tried to get a lady to send money to Nigeria to rent a house, that he didn't even own! Scary to say the least. Too early in the day for all these decisions.

I see, everyone's situation is different, and it sounds like you plan to find a way to keep your home with or without a mod, and I wish you the best. I wouldn`t let them know that, I tell them you love your home and want to stay, but are prepared to walk if they can`t help you. That sure is a shame your son can`t buy that house, I think smart money is buying foreclosures to rent out for now and in 10-15 years will be sitting pretty, thre`s always someone who is able to take advantage of another`s misfortune.

Part of what may have escalated my case that I haven`t been mentioning is that I did fax a nasty gram to Kenneth Lewis at the office of the president on 5/4, the same date I called NACA about my 5/11 sale date.

I called NACA today for update. Last time I called was on 5/4. I was surprised I was only 16th. I asked if it was due to lower call vol or staff increase and the rep said decreased call vol. I wonder why.

Anyway, I was told that no update yet and hopefully next week my file would be one of the lucky ones that BoA is working on since it has been so long. So, nothing new but at least she reiterated that my file is beeing reviewed but they have not made a decision and to call if they do set an auction date.

My BoA on-line account still shows nothing about a mod.

Your BOA account may not show the NACA mod proposal since it is from a third party vendor, and not interal to BOA. At least that is what I think. NACA submitted mine on 4-8 and it has never showed on the workout page.

Well finally some good news.Called NACA today and I was told that the investor( Freddie Mac, mortgage insurer(Genworth I think) wanted current pay stubs and proof of husbands unemployment as of 5/12. I faxed them over immediately.
I just got off the phone with NACA and the rep said that it has been his experience that when they want updated proof of income, and the investor wants to see that it is a really good sign that there will be an approval. I was told to call back on Wed. to make sure the documents got sent over to CW, as he was putting in the request to do so as we spoke.
He also told me that at this point it could be only a matter of a few weeks before we hear if we have been approved.
Wonder if my email to office of B. Dosoer had anything to do with this as I had spoke to that dept. on the 11th, but declined any help from them, I also did not let NACA know I had contacted that office.
I sure hope this is really good news, but I hate to get all excited just to be let down again, but I do feel just a little optimistic.

It's amazing, I sent email to Office of the President on Monday and by Monday night B of A had sent a counter offer to NACA'S

B of A had sent a counter offer to NACA's offer monday night *naca submitted less then 2 weeks before that* I had gotten a mod in via fed ex on tuesday, on wed. the b of a negotiator that only works with NACA told me that mod was null and void and she was waiting for answer to their counter off. Naca told me today that they emailed B of A asking how they got the net income figures that they got as the two are not matching each other. NACA told me to call back Monday and hopefully we will have our mod in the next couple of weeks.

I also emailed my reps and senators and Governer. I had one senators office contacting Chicago to find out what the hold up was. Low and behold things are moving since trying for almost 6 months, forgot to mention too that CW got a sale date on me too.

I also sent emails to all reps listed for California on the NACA site. So far, ZERO response. Figures! If I do get a response, I would not be surprised if it is cookie cutter!! Almost anytime I have ever written to officials for any matter, I get a cookie cutter response. Once I filed a complaint and the official forwarded my complaint to the party I was complaining about to respond!!! I was floored that my concerns were never investigated.

When the rep said a matter of weeks, I told him I hoped he didn't mean another 15 weeks considering how slow this has been LOL. We joked that I had just made a pymt today, but was still actually a month behind, he said that was not bad, I told him maybe people should just make payments every other month and then they would move faster, and you would never be far enough behind to get a default notice.LOL
