I don't put much faith or trust in CW/BofA. They already gave me their idea of a mod and it was the same interest rate with higher payments. I hope you have much better luck.

Re: Worried - NACA Submitted since 1/20/09 and still nothing

That is what I am thinking. In my email I didn't ask for an update or anything, I just told them that NACA had been working so diligently to get my modification, but that CW did not seem to be paying attention. Told them I thought maybe CW,BOA put our mod on back burner because 1. we had PMI insurance on our loan, so if we default they get the money anyway, and 2. They were just writing Michigan off as a wasteland of unemployed people and they just didn't care. Just asked if B. Dosoer could perhaps just acknowledge that we are all out here waiting and suffering. Guess I will have to maybe test the waters with NACA tomorrow and see how they feel about what I did. It does say you should be an advocate for your home!

Thats true but here is the first sentence in that step:

If your lender/servicer or investor does not accept your NACA Mortgage Restructure, you will need to advocate with public officials and others to get your solution accepted.

Re: Worried - NACA Submitted since 1/20/09 and still nothing

I know and my restructure just hasn't been looked at yet, according to NACA no response from them, nothing at all for almost 120 days.
I told the caller from CW/BOA I ABSOLUTELY did not want to work with them, I only wanted NACA. Told her the reason I went with NACA in the first place is because CW did nothing for me went I went to them first.

Same situation here..Have had contact with someone in the office of the president..a really helpful lady..took all my financials by phone..I faxed income, bank statements, etc and she said she will get back to me with the name of my negotiator..she said it will speed things up for me..worth a try I think..if they say ok but the deal is not good than maybe we will have to wait for NACA deal but I am desperate to try anything at this point.

The girl who contacted me told me if I faxed them my financials, they would then contact NACA and let them know I was no longer working with them, that we could not work with both, which is what NACA has told me also.

I called NACA and asked them to fax my income and expense sheets to someone at BA who really seemed to want to help..but NACA actually seemed annoyed that I had contact with BA...they said "they have your file already" and that was that.

What does everyone think? Does this sound like a good idea, should I contact NACA and let them know that I emailed office of the President and now they want me to have NACA call them directly, or will NACA be upset that I did this on my own without telling them first.

*** or Dan feel free to let me know what you think also if you are out there.
dthom,

I received a call from someone at the Office of the President, also. She did not tell me I had to stop working with NACA, she said she would put a note that we are pending with the Advocacy Dept. She had me submit updated bank statements and paystubs. When she was going over my expenses, the info was mostly the same and I could tell it was from what NACA had sent them. I tried for three days to get ahold of my NACA counselor, and she never returned my call or email. I had no choice but to allow them (Office of Pres.) to assist me since we have an auction date coming up. She said while we are working with them, the auction is stopped..

I think the NACA stuff is only voided if you sign notarized papers, but I'm not 100% sure.... anyone know for sure??

HereinNY,
If they didn't tell you that I wouldn't worry. I think they use different stuff with everyone. I didn't give them my NACA ID when I emailed, without that I dont' think you can be identified. I really just wanted BOA to know that I was frustrated that NACA was working so hard and getting nowhere. Just wanted some confirmation that BOA cared and knew that we were all out here living in limbo because they were so slow. She did say they sure seemed to be getting hundreds of emails for some reason from people with same questions (LoanSafe Members?)

Lets hope so. I am a little afraid to tell NACA what I did. I am not supposed to call NACA again until next week. I think I might hang on to the number the lady gave me and see what NACA has to say next week. If they say they have not heard anything yet maybe then tell them what I did and see what they say. Last thing I want to do is get NACA mad at me.

Stop worrying!!! I don't think you did anything wrong....You basically did yourself a favor by getting your file looked at.

I just got a phone call from a lady at BOA. The emails worked. I got the answers to my questions. She did ask me if NACA had suggested I call.
I told her "No" I did that myself because I was frustrated with not knowing and the lack of information.

Thanks, that just me. I am always worrying about something. It's true at least I got someones attention and that is a good thing!!!

Funny one of the reasons I told them I thought we weren't getting anywhere is because I was from Michigan and no one cared because of our unemployment situation here. Try to get them to feel sorry for me because I live in Michigan! Like we are the only place with a high unemployment rate1 LOL

Re: Worried - NACA Submitted since 1/20/09 and still nothing

Rumor;

She asked me what my concerns were. I told her. She looked at my file and told me that no one had been assigned to it yet. I explained that I was sent the AG mod back in 2008, but it was never received. Then sent another mod in late March adding the missed payments to the backend. She refered to that as a capitalzation mod. I explained why it was not good for me.
She understood. She also asked about other concerns.

I told her that my biggest concern was that while I am waiting for the restructure to be reviewed that CW might move forward toward FC.
I indicated that that is my fear and it is making me sick and affecting my health.

Re: Worried - NACA Submitted since 1/20/09 and still nothing

I have used that line so many times with the CC companies. I always start with "I don't know where you are but I live in Michigan, and no one here has a job, ask them to pray for the auto companies" Doesn't always work. Some of them have actually asked when I think my husband will get another job, like he got unemployed because he wanted to, and he has employers knocking on the door. Yeah right I think I will have him put in his order for a new job for next week!! Gotta love the absurdity of it all.

Re: Worried - NACA Submitted since 1/20/09 and still nothing

dthom,
Just wanted to pass along some things I have been told since we are at similar stages with NACA, I had phone consult 1/20 & NACA submitted 1/27. It is my understanding that CW/BOA is contractually obligated to respond to NACA within 120 days, that is the max. After submission NACA is able to send a new request every 30 days they don`t hear from CW/BOA.

Now that information along with the fact that NACA reps saying that there is a huge lot of Mods coming by the 18th. leads me to be very optimistic that the January submissions should hear something. I really haven`t heard of any submissions earlier than the January that haven`t been resolved have you?

HereinNY,

Yes, I got frustrated one day and sent out a bunch of emails. Within an hour or so, I received a call from a very nice lady with the Office of the President.

Hopefully, we will all have good luck going thru them....I was told that if you are working with the Office of the President and you have an auction date, they will postpone it right away..
