New Help with Loan Modification Metlife Home Loans!!

I have a FHA Loan. My mortgage Company is Metlife Home Loans. It hasn't been two years yet on are discharge from Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. Since everything now is paid in cash and we have had some unexpected expenses come up ie: (Vehicle repairs, Dental repairs and Vet bill). Which put us 3 months behind on Home payments. We have sent in our paperwork to our lender for an loan modification or to have payments forgiven. So we can build are credit history. Our problem is the Lender keeps losing paperwork and when I call them up to ask questions everyone tells me a different story. What should I do?? What else can I do.Is there someone else that can help me? I'm to the point to pack up and leave the keys in the front door.

Note: Metlife Home Loans doesn't do Mortgages anymore. They have stated that they were only servicing there current customers and waiting on someone to buy them out.

Welcome and thanks for joining the community.

Even though Metlife does not originate mortgages any longer they certainly can help modify your loan. Next time you contact them for status request to speak with a manager and ask for their specific fax number so you can fax all of the require information. You may want to send the package certified mail return receipt requested CMRRR as well to ensure it is received.

Good job contacting Hud as their counselors are usually very well versed on the FHA loan modification process and programs. We have hundreds of members here who have went through this process who have FHA mortgages as well so you will find tons of information about the process.

Good luck and please keep us posted on your progress!
