Angry A special place for Mozilo...

Our local paper, The Blade, has an interesting article today about Satan's offspring....The giant green monster from the deep who stomps around on the lives and dreams of the "little people" and crushes them beneath his feet.......MOZILO!!!

It explains that before Countrywide stock tanked last year Mozilo had already made away with 414 MILLION dollars he had made selling Countrywide stock from 2004 to 2007!!! And to think I was pi$$ed about the 115 MILLION reported a few weeks ago!!

The article is accompanied by a cartoon of Mozilo riding on the back of a huge piggybank with money clenched in his fist and the piggybank trampling homeowners beneath its feet. How appropriate!!!

I do believe a special place is being reserved for Mr. Mozilo.....and he can leave his winter coat behind 'cuz it'll be "plenty warm" where he will be going!!

The few understanding friends I have left and myself refer to him as the evil Bob Barker. (No offense meant to Bob-who's a good guy)

Water, splash, splash, splash

Do it again 7 times- Oh Mozilo can't swim!

Ok Mozilo America will rescue you, first say "I'm sorry"

Second say I will return the money I've taken by pretense

Third, Go and help homeowners with their problems.

Mozilo, crying ok I'll do whatever, just get me out of this deep water

What deep water, it's only 4 feet.--Laugh laugh, the end.

Re: A special place for Mozilo...

From today's press:
Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum said late last week that his office obtained a federal court remanding his lawsuit against former Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo back to Broward County Circuit Court.
The suit, filed last June, in which Mozilo was named a defendant, addressed deceptive trade practices related to Countywide allegedly putting borrowers into misleading and/or unaffordable loans.
When the complaint was originally filed, Countrywide and Mozilo sought to remove the action to Federal Court in Florida and the case was later consolidated in the Southern District of California.
But the Federal Court has since agreed with Attorney General McCollum’s position that Mozilo should be held liable for Countrywide’s misleading and deceptive practices associated with the sale and marketing of mortgages and mortgage-backed securities.
“Angelo Mozilo should absolutely face a Florida court and Florida’s citizens for his business practices, especially those which victimized Florida homeowners,” Attorney General McCollum said in a statement.
Additionally, the Court agreed with the Attorney General’s claim that Mozilo’s management and participation in the day-to-day activities of Countrywide are sufficient grounds to subject Mozilo to stand trial in Florida state court.
“I am pleased the Federal Court sent the case back to our state court and my office will continue to aggressively pursue its case against Mr. Mozilo,” McCollum added.
At least someone out there still wants Mozilo to pay for his years of abusive lending. Hopefully this pans out.

Uh, actually his color is closer to a peeling orange.
Angelo(Not) Mozilo is under investigation by FBI.

"CountryWide is unaware of an FBI investigation."
What a riot?!! CW is unaware of a housing crash?
I hope his future cell mate is Bubba the ramrod.

==============================
Breaking news:that Countrywide Financial is under investigation for "possible securities fraud": "The Federal Bureau of Investigation is probing sub-prime lender Countrywide Financial Corp. for possible securities fraud, according to law-enforcement officials and finance-industry executives."
More: "The inquiry involves whether company officials made misrepresentations about the company's financial position and the quality of its mortgage loans in securities filings, four people with knowledge of the matter said. It is at an early stage, they emphasized."
The Journal quotes a Countrywide official saying the company is unaware of an FBI investigation.
Published reports have said Countrywide and its chairman, Angelo Mozilo, face several other investigations but the words "possible securities fraud" bring the issue to a new level. Potentially, a much worse level for Countrywide. At some point these investigations begin to pose a risk to Countrywide's possible* future owner, Bank of America. With that in mind, it will be interesting to watch the two stocks Monday, to see whether investors begin betting that the Bank of America takeover will not happen.

All the bankers and lending people are frauds and should be put away for ever.
How can all these companies go from billions in profit to losses of billions.
This whole country is a fraud, but who would listen to us sheepels.
It makes me ashamed I served twenty years of my life for these idiots, to come along and rob the country of everything.
Then Americans sit by and dont have a cow about losing their homes their life savings and worst yet what will alll these people do in the upcoming years..

Shameful

I feel the same way, ravengotu. All while the gov't keeps continually funding these criminal enterprises and criminal czars (Wall St. / big banks) on the backs of all the citizens they left ********, jobless, retirement-less, and buried alive in debt. There is no country left. I totally understand how you feel re having given your life for 20 yrs to protect this country and its corp criminals who didn't blink an eye when they decided to strong arm the country (world) and financially machine gun its citizens before bolting and throwing the country and econ into the eye of the hurricane. This country has lost its way. I don't know how or why Americans have lost their grit to fight injustice like they used to. As William Greider (columnist) has said, Americans need to become citizens again. That nothing will change until Americans decide to actually BE citizens again, to take back their country (by being truly informed, engaged and actively involved in civic life, local, state and federal gov't) so corp America and the political elites cannot run this country into a ditch again, taking the econ and its innocent citizens with it. Our representatives are incompetent narcissists primarily educated in legalese to build political careers on. No one's doing the people's business anymore. No one. American citizens are left to twist in the wind, alone. Again and again.

Please know you did not serve your country for nothing ! You ARE appreciated for having given 20 yrs of your life to this country. Thank you! We can't define this great country by the sins or the greed of the few at the expense of the many. This country will be great again one day. If we can protect it from those who do not serve it well. My hope is that those who have brought the country down will be judged (one day) accordingly and justice prevails for the future of this country. The Mozilo's and the rest of the perpetrator banker lot need to be indicted, tried and convicted for their financial crimes against the country and its citizens in order for this country to heal. So far, they are being protected by their own kind in Washington. The system that brought us here still prevails on Wall St. and in gov't. Until the system and its players change, the country cannot begin to heal nor begin the long climb to greatness again.

People like you define this great country. Not men (mostly) like those on Wall St. They will be forever remembered for taking their OWN country down. YOU defended her. Be proud.

Thanks for your post!

P.S. Angelo Mozilo knows the gates of hell await him. He has all that money because of having been the man who robbed America blind. Legally. A true American hero . Bye bye Angelo. I'm sure he never sits in a restaurant with his back to the door ...

Re: A special place for Mozilo...

If there is one thing that has become increasingly clear to me with the disgrace of Wall Street bankers, it is that money can buy a lot of things, but not honor.

Unfortunately, it appears at this point that we are on track to return things to the way they were without sufficient change in banking laws or regulatory structure. Bank lobbyists have seen to that.

Unless something occurs soon to rein in our culture of avarice, I would bet that the same excesses will occur again in the not-too-distant future.

...And I am not excusing myself in all this either - I arrived on this forum due to real estate purchases I could not really afford, but made anyway because I was caught up in the frenzy...
