Exclamation Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

Check Out "Saving the Dream" Foreclosing on the Senate House Please watch this compelling film taken on July 22, 2008 in Washington D.C. as march to Capitol Hill and storm several senators offices demanding that more be done to help the people of their state who are suffering in what was supposed to be their "American Dream".

Please let me know what you think and if this portrays what our government has done to help you all. They don't have time to meet with the "people" who are losing their homes.

Wow Moe..........that was a very powerful piece that shows the reality of what congress really thinks..........unbelievable that a senator has a photo shoot scheduled on a day of such magnatude and historical value, rather than address the voters in their states coming from miles away for answers and help in saving their homes............

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

Thanks ***. It was very powerful being there and I had hoped to convey that to you all here.

Please, everyone, get involved and please comment here and or on youtube. We need to spread the message and get our senators involved in this to help us fight for our homes. Please email this web url or video to a friend or your local senator.

If I have ever asked anyone to do something, it would be what we are about to do, collectively as Americans. Let's start to really get "active" and work as a group to fight for the American Dream.

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

We liked the premise of the video and would like to thank all of those who went there to try to get change.
The subject was great and the people's efforts were worth taping for sure.

some points about the video

The music is too loud to understand what the people were saying.

We didn't like the tone of the narration, too Joe Friday.

I also would like to know why there wasn't one person designated to speak so that there wouldn't be a cacophony of voices on the tape?

We never heard the government reps say anything that the narrator said they did, most likely due to everyone talking at once.

Governmental double-talk always takes a toll on hurting, angry citizens.
It would be interesting to see/hear the group in discussion after they were outed.

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

The senator has irritated me for years. The fact that he could not take time even if he's busy is no excuse. He could have met with them at the end of his day. He could not meet with them because he was not prepared. By that I mean these clowns have to know what they will say beforehand. They are bad actors. I am greatly dissapointed every day.

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

Yes, not much sympathy from the senators and no scripts for them to prepare. Thanks for the input Nitag and 925.

Want2Live, I wasn't asking for you to be the next Siskel and Ebert. I was just asking for you to give your opinion on what you thought of the content not how the sound is etc (sorry if that is what you assumed). I know the sound is not pro and people are talking, we stormed the senators office uninvited.

You know, its hard to get a script and perfect sound.

It was shot with an $800 camera, edited with $79 software and was real.

My message has never been about spending thousands of dollars so I'm on CNN, it has been just to get the 'truth" out there. The message from the street. The message that this lady, in a walker walked a mile up hill to meet with her Senator who had a photo shoot with interns and was too busy. You know, that message.

But thanks

Hi Moe!

Awesome job! That video was so good and it really hit home with me....I was almost in tears watching the lady with the walker.....that was sad! And you know what else is so sad? Those senators had NO time to extend a helping hand to those struggling homeowners.....I am pissed and disgusted! You are really doing a great job reaching homeowners in need and this video is just another way to do that.....hopefully, more people will join here and get the help they need and deserve.

Amazing stuff!

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

Moe,

I have been reading this website for several weeks prior to joining and thanks to a good person who directed me here from an Attorney's Office I have obtained alot of information but most of all I have seen the American people come together which makes me feel great. The other thing I have seen is your name on many postings helping hard working people through issues and making them feel good that there is help out there. I watched the video and you are a special person with a great heart that helps people. Unfortunately our own senators who are supposed to stand behind what they represent do not. It amazes me that when they need the vote they promise the world and when they get it they don't deliver. So as far as I am concerned I will rely on the good old Americans for help like you and the others on this website and fight the very people trying to make us feel less than perfect.
Thanks, Nel

Awww, Moe, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I didn't read your post about the purpose or production of the tape.
I jumped on the bandwagon and thought a pro had been hired to film the march for nationwide distribution and much other grandiose assuming on my part.
I had 17 seniors watch it today and they couldn't understand a word. They all have background noise interference hearing loss so it was the music causing the problem.
I thought I was just giving you a heads up on what you needed the film editor to do.
Looks like I need to edit my own mouth.

Please forgive me.

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

Thanks for the input everyone. Yes, these are the people who represent the "people" US!!!!!!!!! We all need to remember that and make sure that they do their job and fight for us on Main Street, not the banks, not Fannie Mae and not for Wall Street.

Want2Live, my feelings weren't hurt, lol............... Just remember that I have done everything this far via myself, with no help from outside entities controlling me with their money and convoluting the true message with their slick productions and edited outtakes to their likings.

I definitely understand the audio issues and the production could have been much better for sure, but all I can afford is what we have here for now. However, I am in talks with a major producer and cable TV about a reality series based on this. So, hopefully we will produce much better clips and get the message out so everyone can hear and see whats going on.

Lets keep up the good fight team, friends and fighters!

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

dear moe...liked the video....if you go again with a group..we need to get appointments set up well in advance with senators....I'm so frustrated with the general publics perception of this mortgage mess...they really think that the government is helping homeowners, when they are not...I have a "friend" that said why should I get help when I took the "risky" loan.....I put 35% down on my house ..over $100,000 that is now gone due to the market falling...I accept that....What I don't accept are banks not helping homeowners to refinance or modify to keep people in their homes.

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

Moe,

First...outstanding job! My husband and I watch this video twice and it was very touching...very touching indeed. These Senators do not care! Basically, I believe they look at this as a huge joke. But it just seems very odd to me that all of this is happening at President Bush last term. If I am wrong and I hope that I am but I do believe and always will believe that he has a play in this, in where he is somehow profiting from this mess. Why all of a sudden he changed his mind in signing this recent bill to help homeowners?

After my husband and I watch this video we have strongly decided the only way this house will be pulled from us is over our dead bodies. Things our fine now but come April 09 there is going to be a huge payment adjustment but we will worry about that when that time comes.

The ONLY WAY to survive this mess is to FIGHT and I mean FIGHT HARD. These BASTARDS (excuse my language) are dirty and the only people they care about are their families and they should but at whose cost? IT's US...all of us!!! WELL GUESS WHAT...I care about my family as well, as I'm sure you all do. SO OPTION ONE/AHMSI BRING IT ON....my husband and I will be waiting!!!!

I saw the video, it was really great!
Sad, that nothing is being done about it to help homeowners, but at the same time, I was really happy that efforts were made to go see the governors and other politicians.

NACA is also doing great to help us. I read a lot of what they do.
Thank you Moe and everyone involved in this movement.

Thank you Moe and everyone involved in this movement.

Regards,

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

That is hard to watch..but well worth the watch. It's hard to watch because it makes me lose hope that anyone in power gives a damn.

Re: Must See - Homeowners And Consumer Advocates Take On Our Senators In Their House

Thanks for the kind comments everyone and even the rants . I am known to rant here and there on occasion. lol

Helping people here on the forum and off line has opened my eyes to a lot of injustice that homeowners are facing in this housing crisis and the "people" who are supposed to protect the "people" are doing things to help.

BUT NOT NEARLY ENOUGH!

That is my issue with our senators, congress and government. It appears that we have all these bills coming out and all they really do is help the markets and Wall Street while everyone else (main street America) suffers in their homes.

THIS MUST BE STOPPED AND THE ONLY WAY IS THROUGH ACTIVISM AND MAKING OUR VOICES BE HEARD.

Please forward this video and a link to LoanSafe.org to everyone you can. Maybe we can start the homeowner revolution here.

Dan, don't lose hope brother. We are in this together and we CAN make a difference!

Hello...

Moe, that was a great video, you are doing a good help for a lot of people who needs help. It shows how politicians are, once they get the vote, they are done with us. Let us show these senators who has the power. We the people has the power, not them and lets show them that on the next election day.
