We just received our final FHA HAMP modification papers today via Fedex-been making trial payments since July 2011. Our trial was 31% of our income and the final mod. is the same payment-31% of our income. We are going to the bank on Monday to get the paperwork notarized. This was one of the most stressful events of my life & I hope it is over with. Our rate was dropped to 5% (from 5.625%) for the life of the loan and a partial claim was done to be paid when the home is ever sold or by 2041. Our payment was reduced $300 overall. At the time of the trial, we were 4-5 payments behind. Hope this helps someone. B of A is our mortgage company.
