    count me in as well....

I came on board this forum because my parents are loosing their home and I was desperate to help them. It is close to two years since they stopped making mortgage payments and we are still waiting for a response from the bank but this forum has provided tons of information that has allowed me to help them. They are not very fluent in English so finding this great resource made me think of the great market there is for non-English speakers like my parents. They have access to the internet but lack the English fluency to navigate this site. Maybe setting up a blog in Spanish for people like them would be the best solution Thanks!

Is the conference call/training still happening today? I did not receive an email about it. Did anyone get any info on it? Just curious if it's still going to happen or if the date has been pushed back.

    Re: Blogging for extra income?

I only received about 8 emails, but we have had about 25 plus responses on this thread.

I would like to have a count of who can make the call today and if it is too low, lets push it back a day or so. If I can get 8 or so, that would be fine.

Please respond here ASAP and let me know if you can make it at 4pm PST, 7pm EST today for an online conference.

    Thanks.

I went to bed earlier with a bug of some kind and have no voice right now to speak of (my husband loves it) but I can join in on a call today at 7PM Atlanta time if you decide to go ahead today.

Just let me know and if an alternate time, what the new day/time will be.

    Re: Blogging for extra income?

If you look at what I have done over the last 3 years, you will notice that my blogs are all about helping people to help themselves. Often people think I post negative stories and use scare tactics to impose fear, when in reality it is to wake people up
    to the truth.

I blogged for a year all by myself about the banks, mortgage servicer abuse, illegal foreclosures etc before Main Stream media picked up on these abuses. For a year I blogged all by myself about the bad and the ugly and Fox CNN etc said that homeowners are getting help, loan modifications and banks are great.

Fast forward to now and it is now hip to despise banks and report on these abuses.

Silly - I figured 4pm PST and 7pm PST would be prefect for both west and east coasts. In case you miss these classes, they will be video recorded and posted on this forum so you all can watch at your convenience.

The purpose of the live call is for you all to ask live questions and get answers in an interactive format.

I wanted to let everyone know that I will broadcast live via USTREAM which is a free live video conferencing and chat website. I will email everyone else also that has emailed me.

Count me in too. I just finished reading a book titled "CRUSH IT! Why is now the time to cash in on your passion" by Gary Vaynerchek. My passion is cooking and anything food. In his book he talks about everything you mention like blogging, social networks, Ustream, and everything internet. Thankful to still have a job, although not making much right now, but I am tired of getting pimped everyday.

hahaha..Garry is a great guy and knows his stuff!

Since I was a child and saw my father come home for 50 years from a job he hated, it was always my dream to not work for a pimp or master. I could never understand why he would say how much he dislikes his career and bosses, but would tell me to go get a job and join a union. I was like, you have got to be kidding me Dad, right?

Now I am my own master and not to have to sell myself out for a paycheck. Nor drive in traffic to a job I loathe. Yes, lets be thankful to have a job, but never settle if you are not happy!!!!!

The time is NOW to break the chains and start digging your way out of job, traffic and debt prison.

Glad to have you on board!

    Re: Blogging for extra income?

    Hi Moe,

    I just found this here

I am VERY interested in learning about how to make money from home. The problem I've had is that everything I've found on it seems to be the people making the money off the Internet, by getting me to pay them money, without any real means for me to recoup that money spent back, LOL.

I tried a LOT of things, none of which did more than leave me broker than when I began. I really must have that time flexibility and some sort of online endeavor, always seemed perfect-- only trouble is NONE of them proved to be profitable. If you have some ideas for me I'm all ears.

    Thanks

    Cindy

Hey Cindy and Fair Lady. Glad to see you both on board. This blogging thing is not dead, we are just a small company here operating a massive website trying to figure ways to expand our scope of help, as well as our membership.

My goals are to have regular classes that will be recorded so anyone can view them at anytime. To be honest, I need to get into the habit of doing other thing besides research and blogging. I need to teach others how to research and blog.

There are no secrets to how I make money. Those Google ads you see everywhere, I get paid a percentage when someone clicks on them. I am basically a publisher of content and also a forum owner who has user generated content being provided daily.

More in the coming weeks, I promise.

Moe, have you given any thought to getting CPA offers (that is Cost per Action) to monetize this forum instead of Adsense?

If you look around the CPA networks for the offers, (yeah, you have to get accepted into the networks but I'm sure this site would have no problem getting you qualified), you will find they have some that really pay much better than the Adsense that you are now using. In fact, the technique now is to only use Adsense to determine if a niche is 'worthwhile' and then to use other methods such as CPA offers in place of the Adsense (or have a mix of the two).

OfferVault is a site that allows you to 'comparison shop' the various networks for the competing offers.

You should at least look around at OfferVault and Clickbooth. There are other networks that list some very good CPA offers aside from those you will see at OfferVault.

Maybe this is what you need to do to kick your own income up a bit so that you can increase your staffing.

Hello everyone and sorry for the late reply to some of you. I have been busy trying to organize my video and radio show so I can bring this to you all live in mastermind blogging sessions. They will also be recorded so people can watch them at a later time.

So Cal Girl - Yes, I have looked into this, but never found a good fit or it felt pushy. I plan to just offer my own products in the near future and that is also why I have been off the forum. I am developing wordpress themes and websites for people to purchase that are turn key and easy for people to get started blogging. My goal is to have a mastermind group of people such as myself and yourself who want to work from home, make money and help people. I am going to give out ideas and offer support to the group daily.

Any of you can do this. It just takes time, dedication, patience and a good heart to make it online. If you have a good heart, everything else can be taught. But you really learn just by doing and that is what I am, a doer.

If my butt, who dropped out of school at 17 and has pretty poor grammar can make it this far blogging by being able to support a family of 5, ALL of you can do this. The one thing I do have is that I believe in myself more than anything. In fact I KNOW I can do just about anything I want to, if I put my mind to it.

If you do not have that confidence yet, I will help you rebuild it and find that spark. I too have been beaten down, jobless and homeless many times in my life. But all that helped me grow to be who I am now.

Thanks again for your comments and confidence. It is very encouraging to know that people want to hear what I have to say.

    Re: Blogging for extra income?

cool, please keep us posted. I have mine ( Front Page | Shitheadery ) that does well, but I've not figured out how to monitize it. And I also develop, design, teach, tutor, and provide documentation for content management systems and blogs at Home - Zombeck.com. I would think with that and my writing at the Huff Post I'd be able to make some money working from home, but maybe I'm missing a little piece of the recipe somewhere. That's what I need help with.

Even if you can not find CPA offers that you think are a good fit, you should consider monetizing with banner ads for REPUTABLE services that any of us doing the blogging biz will need. Example: hosting services pay you a referral fee, likewise an autoresponder service such as either aweber or evo (evo does both the a/r and hosting plus several services for the one monthly fee).

Personally, I'd rather see you monetizing this site with quality services that WE will be needing if we also start blogging, rather than (gag) BofA's link (I don't know if you were getting any money from it but people were skeptical of seeing that on your site).

If you are not making use of any services such as those I referenced, let me know.

If you don't like the supplied banner graphics of services that you do like, you can create your own, of course, that match your site's color scheme.
