Let me say, it's a B-E-A-U-tiful day here in sunny piqua, ohio. There is frost on the ground, leaves every where and the kiddies are still sleeping!!! I am enjoying my third cup o' joe and the silence for whatever amount of time I have left. Josh my 12 yr old just took out the trash for me and he's on his way to school.

Ama: I have been up since 5:30a - I am pretty much on the same sleep schedule as you. I wish I had some advice or tips, but as it stands now, I am happy if I get four to five hours of sleep a day. I suggest benadryl for the kids - LMAO I'm just kidding sorta......you warm my heart Ama

Save you money, buy lottery tickets. Caldwell: Chirstmas is just around the corner. It's your favorite time of year right? You need to get busy and start your decorating. I'm putting up a tree this year, haven't had one up in two years. I think perhaps your thought of the volunteer who's husband has passed and with all of the properties available may very well be a resource provided to you by the Big Guy above. Hi everybody! It just makes my day to read the posts on this thread! You all deserve the very best in life, and right now it can't get much worse, can it? I laugh and laugh reading these posts, then the next minute I have tears in my eyes because I realize how hopeless we all feel. Caldwell, if worse comes to worse, is there a possibility that lady at your meeting the other night would be interested in buying your home via short-sale? I know you don't even want to think about it right now, but you could then buy it back on contract or something?

Bloom, I knew there was something special about you - YOU'RE AN RC AIRPLANE WIDOW! ME, TOO! Although I usually go along and fly, because it's peaceful. How about you and hubby load up planes and come up here and visit when the knee gets better? We do the Penguin Fly in the snow in the winter.

oh everybody I'm not in the dumps but it has not been a good day. Have to start paying back my student loans in Jan (I expected this) and in the same day I get this I get 8 count them 8 different letters from chase (two are certified and I can't get them till next week). Then I find out through one of these letters that Deutshce is the lender on BOTH my loans. Now why in the world would they buy that second, which is currently really toast because of the worth of my house, if they didn't buy it for pennies ont he dollare and expect to foreclose? I mean I have never even gotten a trial mod. Ah I'm okay I'm just pooped and pissed. Why does it have to be so darn hard?

Oh on a brighter note I bought my kid an airplane ticket to come up here at Christmas and you know how I love Christmas. I absolutely will have that holiday in this home. Then If i'm here or soemwhere else there will still be a christmas at my house in 2010. I know this I am just tired.

I have never been to a casino but there are several around me. Maybe I oughta try my luck.

I'm probably gonna take interest-only payments on my student loan for the first year (don't ask how much I owe - it's huge -I got a doctorate at a private college) - so that I can deal with the credit cards. I think I can pay them all off next year and then be in a position to do the loan. Shit. Pardon me. Shit. It's okay though. I'm okay. Just rambling. pressing so hard takes it outta you, as you all know.

Believe - I don't think I could ever bring myself to ask that new volunteer to buy my house in a short sale. That's revealing more neediness than I am comfortable with right now. But a great idea!

By the way - I am boycotting any thread that Slim is on. The man is a complete downer and I don't need it.

I know what you mean about Slim. I thought he would be good at the blogs about homesteading and how to survive another depression but I don't even want to see any of his postings up in any threads that I read. Now I'm seeing postings that Moe put up on guns, knives and whatever.

Everything is all mixed up tonight and I'm tired. Talked to Catherine today and none of us seems to be in a good place right now. Maybe we will wake up some morning and find this was all a dream and someone has played a joke on us.

I could not get through this if I couldn't come here to share however I feel, good or bad.

Do you remember when the Feds were discussing a bill that would create a new Consumer organization to protect us against fraud? 18 state Attny Generals got together and, in a nutshell, asked that the feds give them the power to enforce the Fed rules for thier constituants. I love this website. I obtained a list of attorneys and am dropping all of my stuff off on Monday for his review. We will meet on Thursday. In reading on the site, I think that maybe I have been approaching this all wrong. Maybe we need a criminal attorney for a class action suit, not a real estate attorney? In any event, on the site I did find a potential case against Ryland Mortgage (provided terms when we first purchased our home, with an 80 thousand dollar incentive -- from upgrades -- to go with their mortgage co. We were locked in for 6 months, and by the time we could refi-our value had tanked. I asked the attny if he was comfortable examining the docs from every perspective and flat told him I just want sue someone because of what this has done to our country.

PLEASE, I am not an easy money, sue happy person. I would never in a million years sue anyone for anything, but I am pissed -- and if we cannot move together for change, I am going to kick and scream for as long as I can, as loud as I can, and would love to leave a bruise.

I'm not holding out alot of hope for this, and am going to let BofA foreclose on my home, but I feel like I have to examine all angles and do what I can.

BofA did respond to my Attny General complaint. Basically, if you were a victim of preditory lending, go talk to Ryland. Please send us your information, by fax, and we'll see if you qualify for help. I'm not sending them anything but a nice letter saying, short-sell my home back to me and we can play ball. The property address on the notice of intent they sent is wrong, and I have told them that the addy no longer exists. lol Sometimes they send to the mailing address, which is correct, and sometimes to the property address. . . . we never received the NOI's. Were it not for the package they sent me with copies, we wouldn't have known they had sent them. I don't expect to see a notice of foreclosure either -- we'll just keep packing and be ready to go after 90 days. checking the couty recorder every day seems like alot of effort for something I just don't care about anymore. . . .

Whether you have deusche bank or not click on his name for FYI. For those of us who loans were broke up sold off it is becoming clear why it is impossible to modify or the lies told to keep us from one. We all shake our heads at what we are told thinking huh that makes no sense. In the way we have been set up it is coming to light how it makes perfect sense. I think what is getting to us is we see all the wrong being done with no real action to make it right. Or more to the point no set rules to fight the wrong. The game keeps changing on us. Quite a while back I mentioned the Titanic in regard to the rats. Although this gets to us I don't want to give in or up on ourselves or each other. We are on to something. I LOVE you all and I feel just like AZ, disappointed. You all have done it longer than me and don't know how you did it but I never want to lose touch with any of you ever. I have not had time to cultivate many friends since I moved down here 10 yrs ago and NO ONE could ever understand like this little group of friends here what friends should really be to one another.

Good morning everyone. Booger. You absolutely made my day. I laughed so hard I cried when I read your Modification Hell post. Very, very funny. You are quite talented dear friend. I might have to repost that if you don’t mind so I can read it over and over.

AZ - I know whatcha mean. I am getting really frustrated too. I would have thought it a no brainer for everyone to stand together and unite and one, but it seems that people are content with complaining instead of taking action. It helps to take some time off from this forum, albeit it is very addicting and hard to stay away.

ama - glad to hear you are going to bed earlier and getting some rest. Your posts are very informative and you are helping a great number of people. I wish I could stay as positive as you do.

bloom - plant those bulbs deep and keep the squirrels away! It is that time of year, isn't it? I love gardening. Haven't done much of it since we have been in a drought here. I can usually grow a great garden with just the water from the rain but this year, had to let it go because we couldn't afford to water it. Enjoy a beautiful day outside. I think I will spend some time outdoors too.

Catherine, this thread is for us to vent. Do not ever feel bad about voicing your frustrations here. I read this thread every day but have not been posting much. Your honesty is refreshing and I think a lot of us here feel the same way but don't post it. You have a great sense of humor too.

WELCOME OHHHDEAR. You mentioned that you feel like an outsider here but please don't. The members here will welcome you with open arms and you will feel a great deal of stress relief after you can tell someone about your woes. Please post here. Got a call from Skank a few days ago, late in the evening here. Negotiator asked his vp to join him. At 9 pm I am pretty close to brain dead. She started going over figures and said I was denied because we can afford our payment. We had $1500 left over each month. I told her if we had $1500 left over each month, please tell me where it is because I could sure use it. She tried to confirm our wages, etc. and I told her I did not have that information available and since it was important to get figures correct that I would have to get my paperwork together and I get back to her. She went on to say we should have no problem making the payment because we had $800 leftover each month. I reminded her that she previously told me we had $1500 left over, where did she get this $800 figure? Ah, ah, ah.... In any event, she must have been as tired as I was but I couldn’t resist to tell her if we do have $800 or $1500 left over, please tell me where it is because I could sure use it. Yes, sometimes I tend to be a smartass.

Okay. We’ll start over. Sometimes I feel like we are on a merry go round. Just when it starts to slow down I want to jump off. But wait, as booger said in her previous post, I need to keep my hands and feet inside, I might need to send them in with my mortgage payment. Or hey, who knows, maybe I can come up with a kidney for them?

one more thing ... the bank told me they were aware that I purposely defaulted on my loan. I told her that if purposely meant we didn't have the money to make the payment, then okay. It's not like the bank tells borrowers they have to be in default before they can help them, right? Why that would be unethical behavior on their part to inform a borrower to miss payments?

Morning All: I just found out that God lives at 85 Broad Street, NY - Imagine my chagrin -Geez, and all this time I've been praying and it's no wonder he couldn't hear me. With all that clinging of the cash machine in his ears. Getting my bus ticket sometime this week to go visit him. I hope he lets me in.

I was thinking, I watch my fair share of soaps - yes that's right I watch them with little shame and I've decided to start writing one of my own. Well, it's sorta cloudy here this AM, but the weekend was lovely. We grilled out on Saturday and some friends came over to watch football. It was nice. Yesterday I was over joyed to spend the whole day doing laundry only to have more magically appear. It must multipy like rabbits when I'm not looking down there in the depth of the dark and gloomy basement.

I had a marvelous day yesterday and then spoiled it by lurking around on the forum as a guest too and saw an article about what is going to happen to us soon when we take part in "acts of civil disobedience". I was almost in the pits of depression until I realized that it's probably made up lies too. You can't trust anyone anymore.

Good morning all! It's a beautiful sunny day here in Reading, PA. It's supposed to reach 70 today but since I trust no one, I don't trust the forecasters either! We'll see! It was nice yesterday so I hope it will be as warm today, then it is supposed to tank (like my credit score) into the 60s and 50s for the rest of the week. So, I guess I ought to enjoy it. Leaving Thur to visit the in-laws so I won't be "active" here for a few days...I need the break! I fully expect that my mystery FedEx will show up while I'm away, it will rain, the darn thing will get all wet and the paperwork will be ruined upon my return . Gosh, I hope that doesn't happen, that would SUCK! I'll have to ask my neighbor to keep an eye out for me.

I'm still trying to pick out a name for my loan mod baby since it has been 9 months of trying to get a loan modification. I'm thinking "Hampilton", Hampy for short. I think it has a nice ring to it. I wonder what the "vital stats" will be. How "long" will he be and how much will he "weigh" (length = loan term in years, weight = monthly payment)? There were a couple of times where we didn't think he would make it but I kept telling the "doctors" (the bank reps) that I could feel him kicking, there's still a heartbeat. Keep checking, try again. Finally, they have agreed with me and I am waiting for the stork to come (FedEx). Of course, our little bundle of joy will be closely monitored for the first 3 months after the birth (our trial period), but then he should be ours to keep unless we are suddenly deemed "unfit parents" (permanent mod denied). I do so hope we get to keep Hampy for good. We've been waiting so long for this moment.

I forgot to mention Hampy has a parasitic twin (my second mortgage). It's a girl, I will call her "Hampette". Oddly, she is supposed to be delivered after Hampy but maybe a month or so later! And even stranger, she is expected to be just as long but will weigh much less. I could do without the extra burden of Hampette (she will just cost more money each month and will be nothing but trouble). In all honesty, I would be perfectly okay if Hampette doesn't make it (she got "extinguished"). I could live with that loss, somehow! I'm actually looking forward to labor (the 3 month trial). I mean WOW, that's a long time isn't it? I hope it will be worth it!

PS - I hope I am not offending anyone here. I by no means am making light of pregnancy or the loss of a child... just trying to equate loan modification to pregnancy and give a humorous twist to this whole process as it is taking that frickin' long!

Hello everybody. First of all, AMA - thanks for the side-splitting laugh! Hampilton, nicknamed Hampy! OMG, I can't stand it - I'm laughing so hard. It takes alot to get me distracted these days, but loan mod humor always makes me laugh. How sad is that?

I'm so sorry for everyone who is suffering right now. Loan mod hell has lots of ups and downs. I keep reading news about the AGs getting involved, special commissions being started, etc., so I think some kind of help is coming. But, maybe it's the same old sh!t. Right now, health care reform is all Washington cares about, as far as I can tell.

My lender called the other morning offering to "help". Hahahahahahahahahaha! OMG, for real? They called to help? WHATEVA! She caught me at the right time, so I went over all the numbers again. I'm supposed to fax in some paystubs and bank statements and call back in a week. Okay, I'll get right on it. I'm late on my payments, and they called to help? Help who? Me or them? They were calling to help themselves collect more of my money. That's the way I understand it. Same thing happened with my credit card. I'm past due on my HSBC credit card, too. The lady offered to forgive two $39 past due charges if I made a payment over the phone right then and there. It sounded like a good deal, but she was going to charge me $15 for the phone payment. Apparently I'm too old to have a loan mod baby. Although I have been "off the pill" for 10 months and trying my darndest to get my mod baby, I am barren. I've talked to the Chase sperm bank many many times and they know just about everything there is to know about me but they still don't see me as deserving of a mod baby. So perhaps I'll go oversees and ask the Deutsche bank if they will give me my mod baby. I would happily name it after them if that is there criteria. It'll be my deutschemodbaby. After all, I'm part German. Perhaps they will match me with a good german mod sperm. Or not.
