I would like to pose a question also. Is there anyone you know of or have heard of here from this forum that has received a modification and months later re-applied for a modification for the second time? And maybe even received it for the second time? Curious to know.

I don't know of any documented members getting a second loan mod.. but I know that you could in 1 year depending on the lender...

i have done one mod with countrywide and a few days later i was called by NACA and was told i need to do anther mod i ask them why and they said the mod i just done was no good i ask why he its was a 5yr i/o but i was thinking it was good a drop in % from 11.50 to 7.00 % pmt from 2001.00 to 1200.00 i told i did not think he could beat that and that made him MAD he yelled at me and it was no after that we had some heated words the last thing he said do want my ..... help or not so i told him to get started i fax over all he ask for its been 3 weeks ago he emailed me today saying he just sent all the paper workover to country wide.now we,ll see if he can back up all that big talk.

Kitten, Interesting question and one that we may be facing due to my husband's union pension in the questionable future. We will only have a three week notice for up to a 20% drop! Yet, we need some relief now and hope those who have already gone out on retirement won't be effected. At this point it is only those who have not gone out yet....still a bummer to have worked 35 plus years expecting one thing and find it is worth 1/2 to 1/3rd less than you expected it to be worth when the others do go out....probably preventing them from actually going out. Ours looks okay for the moment. The union invested in real estate instead of the stock market and that has been a good thing ...until now.
