    Getting Lenders to furnish information.

    Hi All

Are the servicing companies required to furnish Us with the name of the lending Bank?

Are the servicing companies required to Sent Us a copy of the Original Note?

If we send them a written request for both?

I would like to know this information.

    Thoughts please.

Take care and thanks in advance.

Your servicer should disclose this information but many times they will give borrowers a hard time when they request this. Also a qualified written request should work to obtain your note and also find out about your investor. You can see if Fannie or Freddie owns your loan here:

I am originally with Countrywide, now Bank of America. I was able to pull up my original loan docs that I signed back in 2006 on BofA's website. Can't remember exactly how I got to it on the site, but if you're with BofA I will look more into it and get back with you!

When you do your mod paperwork, it will most likely come from, and be due back to, the actual lender, not the servicer.

    Hi All

Evan, thank you for the info. According to the websites you listed, Neither Fanny or Fredy or whatever ownes my loan. Oh well I will try again to get AHMSI, my servicer to furnish me with this information.

I wonder what the big secret is all about?

I don't want to wait until I am served with court papers for forclosure before I get to know this information.

    Thanks to all in advance.

Not true, on my last mod 2 years ago. I only dealt with the servicer AHMSI. May of changed since then? Thank you for your reply.

    Hi All

Another problem seems to be getting my request into the correct department.

Who should I sent my request to? Legal department, lost mitigations, etc

I don't have the money to hire an attorney to do something, that I feel we as loansafe members could learn to do for ourselves.

We need more knowledge to fight the fight.

    Thanks in advance.

My mortgage is with Wells Fargo and ASC is the servicer. I called ASC and told them that I have the right to know who the investor on my loan is. They indicated that they can tell me but via a letter. They did send me the letter. Hope this helps.
