You wake up in the morning and wonder if you really want to get up and fight the fight . Maybe you have a spouse that helps you. And Kids that force you. For me I tell myself they can't take my accomplishments and what I've learned and the secrets of my trade. What ever I do I try to make it a step forward and a consolidation effort in case I lose and have to move. Some steps ypu take can be good no matter the outcome. Being Old I have the option fo puttering around some mornings when it takes me a while. But I have a conscience after working all my life that badgers me to do something. |

People who I never met or just here on the forum need advice, information and hope. Helping these people motivates me to wake up every day and do it again and again. I want to help as many people as I can now. It's a great problem. Witnessing the injustices I see happening to the people on Main Street and wanting to do everything in my power to help those who suffer is my goal. Now, I am paid to help. It is a nice twist of fate since I was the one who suffered many, many years Slim. I look at you as not as an old man, but a man who is wise beyond my years and has experienced A LOT over his lifetime. A man that I happily read his words because I want to know what your a$$ has to say because I think you're smart and have a lot to offer the community here. You just need to get past some of your hard line views and be more open to others is all. You really should consider blogging as a retirement career and my advice would be to make the focus on helping people save money and live frugally through this Great Depression. That will keep you busy helping people and that conscience from getting to you from doing nothing.

And your weird Ideas help to keep my blood pressure up LOL As for blogging I wouldn't have a clue. Contrary to my perceive image i'm a very quiet live and let live type of person. Although I have spent most of life preaching personal responsibility. And paid the price to go against the grain. I can tell you that I was married to two beautiful women that were extremely talented and the world will never know as they would rather live off the government and what they can con people out of. I learned that no matter what a persons latent talents are they must take responsibility for them. Fortunately although i was kept away from my kids as much as possible. They grew up and realized what was going on and we now have a very close relationship and agreement of political ideas. |

I choose to think of non-conformity as having the personal strength of character, and COURAGE to question status quo, and say, "why?". WHY do we have to accept this boloney from Congress? Why do we have to let the nation to go "tits up"? Why do we have no choice in the matter? WE CHOOSE to have no choice. We have a choice, but it's not free, and it's not easy, and it's not automatic. That makes us "non-conformists", "activists", "big mouths". When a non-conformist gets THROUGH to the SHEEP, then they are renamed a "revolutionary" and are heros. Go figure.

There are days when I say F it, and there are days when I'm scared, but then somebody will write something here and I'm back at it. Sometimes I think I would ahve been a good lobbyist. What the H am I doing in nonprofit management at such a low salary! I have a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and I'm givin it away. Ah sorry about that whine. It's all good, and it has all helped. Slim - you are a force to be reckoned with. I enjoy sparring with you at times. The worst thing we can do is shut each other up because we don't agree. That's what the politicians do - the "you are a bad person if you don't agree with me" scenario. Lots of media folks do that to. There are alot of people who don't agree with me, but that doesn't intrinsically make them bad (uninformed maybe - hee hee).

I've been married twice too my man and the second one was somebody you'd have some fun with. What I REALLY want? My home. Health. Health for my kids. A country that isn't run by Wall Street. And a vacation. A real vacation. I cannot remember the last time I had one of those.

I was self employed for over 10 years and never happier. I know have the 9-5 and have not been happy since I started it. I have a few entrepreneurial ideas and instead of spending so much time feeling sorry for myself, I will pick myself up and start making some plans. Thanks again. |

We will be the Huffington Post for Main Street. You know, the people losing homes, jobs and their businesses. I sometimes do not get why someone follows a dude who make $20 million a year while they make $30,000 and think that these guys interests are aligned with theirs. At first the pay will be a pittance, but it may turn into something big and give you that freedom soon.

The word “motivation” in and of itself conjugates or suggests a resolve to succeed in ones personnel endeavors. In doing so expect to find road-blocks and detours on the way, and yes the aspect of failure is always a possibility however, the saying of “nothing ventured…..nothing gained” is very simple, yet it also implies individual effort. My own motivation with the multitude of forum topics as presented here on LoanSafe.org has caused me to see, time and time again, the same comments and excuses repeated over and over again by the “servicers”. Slim, what motivates me is being trampled on into a posture or position of being ruined at no fault of my own. I’m beyond “wondering anymore”, because CITI, BOA, CHASE….throw in the kitchen sink of lending fraud…..all of them are proffering the same pattern of excuses and foot dragging and in Collusion together! How many out there have heard this excuse from your “servicer” when you anticipated a problem and tried to resolve it beforehand…..”We can’t help you if you’re Current, you must be at least 60 days Behind”! Now add in all the rest of these “excuses” and doesn’t it start or sound like Mutual “Talking Points” Syndrome between the hierarchy of Banks? Sure tanks ones FICA fast! Maybe I should start a new thread, “What’s your latest ‘One-liner-excuse’ from you Servicer”! HAMPs, being turned down after making on time payments, strung out further in getting a modification, payments going into the land of “who knows where”, name it? Dang it sure is here by all of those posting! Yea Slim, I’m motivated because I hate a liar, cheater, thief and any predator willing to steal my lunch after working so hard to obtain and prepare it. Strength in conviction motivates me and honesty is the framework that I’ve built my life and business on and I’m not about to quit now, even under the circumstance I face today. That’s what Motivates me! Gary |
