Re: Torture Charged in LA -Area Mortgage Rescue Case

Brutal.

This is not the answer -- although often I see situations that lead me to think that if our criminal justice system adopted some principal punishments from, say, Singapore, and publicly executed them, there would be a whole lot less crime in this country. . . .

Please don't beat your loan servicers. . . even if they tell you that you need to stop eating to pay your mortgage. . .

Re: Torture Charged in LA -Area Mortgage Rescue Case

Agreed... what good comes from a violent act like this. Yes, the loan mod scammers out there deserve to be punished, but let the courts handle it. You think a damaged credit score will hurt you in life, how about a prison record? Not so wise. Please all of you out there, don't beat anyone over this, it's not worth the consequences!

I'm hoping scarlet was just posting this as a joke, but it really isn't funny.

Re: Torture Charged in LA -Area Mortgage Rescue Case

While I in no way agree with their actions, but as I was told from a young age..."If you play, you pay" meaning your actions will come back on you eventually. If you hurt people and take their money through fraud, be prepared for the fact that somebody out there will think nothing of taking a pound of flesh back from you no matter what the cost. There are looneys everywhere.

Re: Torture Charged in LA -Area Mortgage Rescue Case

Just thought it was indicative of the mental state that the prospect of foreclosure can cause in people--and no, of course NOT endorsing violence against anyone.

The weight room, meals, etc. remark might have been funny to me only--in that in my household, not only do we not have those luxuries, we actually dont have a working furnace or running water at the moment.

Sorry if I offended--my sense of humor gets blacker by the day I guess...

I'm not endorsing this behavior, but I'm quite honestly surprised that I haven't heard of anything like this before now.

I am very surprised by this as well, that some of these ceo's have not been targeted by some whack job who has lost his house.

If I got conned by those guys and thought I could get away with it I'd definatly think about it. They made a mistake by not making sure the guys would not be able to escape. Drill through the knee will take care of that or hamstringing!!!!
