Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | homeowner files class action Lathrop homeowner sues Pulte, claiming business model led to consumer harm October 28, 2009 2:47 PM A Lathrop homeowner has filed a class-action lawsuit against the nation's largest home builder, claiming the company used a “one-stop shopping” business model allowing it to control sales, financing, ancillary services and appraisals. The lawsuit alleges that Michigan-based Pulte Homes fraudulently propped up home prices and sales in a “house of cards” scheme that eventually caused values in its developments to plunge. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, of by Seattle law firm Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro. The suit was filed Friday in Oakland. It claims Pulte artificially propped up sales and home sale prices through its control of the process. Read Thursday's Record for more on this story. Used Ryland Mortgage, andhad to in order to receive the "low introductory rate" and 80 thousand in "upgrades". Good for THEM! Get moving, take action NOW!
