Purchasing an IndyMac Short Sale - Loan Modification Forum

Hello, I am trying to purchase a short sale property and the seller's mortgage is with IndyMac. According to my realtor they have accepted our offer and we are just waiting for IndyMac to send out their approval letter.....that was on June 11...four weeks ago.

Is it normal to have to wait so long for a letter? I'm told the seller's agent is calling the negotiator everyday and everyday nothing....no letter....how long does it take? I have a buyer for my house patiently waiting until my deal goes through. I'm getting anxious and worried that my buyer is going to get tired of waiting and walk away from our deal.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to try and expedite this along?

Call it coincidence.....right after I emailed them the letter came through....we entered escrow yesterday.......yipeee
