| Any success stories on getting a modification with Wells Fargo?
I submitted my request for a modification with Wells Fargo back in March. After being fed misinformation and feeling like a dog chasing my tail, I just found out (end of June) that my request was denied.
First I was told that my debt to income ratio was too high, and that I needed to budget back some expenses, so I did. Now, they are saying that I have enough to pay my mortgage. Are you kidding me?!! My mortgage takes up 48% of my gross, 60% of my take home!!!!
I put a call into a Supervisor in their escalations dept. who, get this, actually called me back! She was very nice and even told me to fax my package back in to her and she'd see to it that it was given priority (otherwise, I would have been sent to the "back of the line").
I meet all the criteria that the Affordability and Stability Plan states and was even told by a HUD counselor that I should be given a modification.
Why is this sooooooo difficult!
