Question ING DIRECT loan modification????

I would like to know if anybody has success story with ING Direct for loan modification? I know they have loan modification program because I spoke with someone and he said yes. He even gave me the number for Home retention people that I can speak to.

I would like to do speak to Ing Direct and do the loan modification myself to safe money but I need advices before I talk to them.

Re: ING DIRECT loan modification????

I have been lurking the forums here for some time to see any specific information about ING but it seems like I'm alone in the waters here....I am in the process of modifying my loan with ING Direct, though I couldn't let you know about my process because its been two months and the person who is in charge of my review has only responded TWICE to repeated emails and voice messages they have left. My home has a market value of $375,000 and I owe $600,000 on my loan, so you would think they would be eager to help resolve the situation but that doesn't seem to be the case.......

Re: ING DIRECT loan modification????

Whow, yes my loan is around $490,000 but our house is probably market value at most $400,000 which is not bad since we down 25%. I spoke to them once but the person that we spoke to said they can reduce the monthly to $2400 from $2950 if we qualified after we send in the paperwork. He also said something about it's a 5 years plan. I have the number to the home retention department that he gave me. It's 888-464-6118. Maybe you can try to talk to someone there. Let me know how it goes.

Re: Loan Modification Lender Sought Me Out-Fishy?

How can you re-finance now-a-days when the price of your house is worth less that what you owed?

Re: ING DIRECT loan modification????

If the investor is participating in the H4H FHA Hope for Homeowners.....that is one option.......but if there is also a second lien on the property...........it becomes more difficult.
