need help for INDYMAC LOAN MOD

hello,

im a bit frustrated, as i know others are too with these banks.
I have applied for a loan modification in December 28 2008 with INDYMAC BANK.
Ive been calling to follow up every week and each time i call they have no updates and gives me different stories that i should have some news soon. However they also told me that i have a tentative sale date of april 07. The lady that i talked to today said that i should be hearing something with in 30 days as she put a follow up note on my acct. but again my sale date is fast aproaching, she did recommend doing a forbearance to extend that sale date but she told that i have to have a surplus to do that which at this point i dont and thats why im asking for a modification. I dont know what elso to do any help? thanks in advance

Re: need help for INDYMAC LOAN MOD

Indymac has been extremely difficult to work with. I've been trying to get them to help me for 3 months. After find this site. I sent a email to several of the email addresses on this site and finally someone actually reached out to help me. I was put on a 4 month forbearance last week to $400 less than my mortgage. I was advise yesterday that after the forbearance they would do a mod. But I will call them every week with hopes that something could be done sooner than 4 months. Please keep us updated on your experiences and any outcome.

Re: need help for INDYMAC LOAN MOD

thank you. ms *** for info. i just filled out that form on their site again.
I called indymac again today and the said that my mod could take several more weeks but my foreclousure is coming on april 07, they suggested that i should do a repayment plan. But would need a 2 times of my mortgage which will be about 4800. and my payment will go up $800 more than my original payment amonth.
Wow, that was a big jump for a repayment plan. However they said this is the only way to stop foreclosure. Any suggestions on this matter?

Re: need help for INDYMAC LOAN MOD

that may be coming down from the investor.............and that may be the only way to stall the foreclosure sale date other than speaking with a foreclosure attorney to see what other options there may be.

Re: need help for INDYMAC LOAN MOD UPDATE: SUCCESS

just an update on my loan mod with INDY MAC. After talking to several customer service for about 4 months, i was connected to a Melissa from the Lost mitigation dept. She was very helpful and was a great person to deal with. As she received my file, she quickly sent it to the investor and they came back with a mod. with in a week.
I use to pay around $2300 for 1st and $425 on my 2nd. (both are interest only and does not include tax/ins)
I was behind payments for about 11 months, due to loss of job.
My new payment is at 1st $2700 a month principal and interest at 5% int and my second at 220. So about 2900 both at fixed rate and now includes taxes and insurance.
I think its a fair enough offer from indymac, compare to what i got last as they told me i had to pay almost $4500 upfront and do a forbearance on which my payment would increase and terms would stay the same.
Just for anybody out there trying with indymac, i been working on my mod for the last 5 months, and i just kept getting different info. but just keep trying as someone out there like mellisa who cares and will help you stay in your home.
