Ditech/GMAC Loan Mod? - Loan Modification Forum

Just wondering if anyone has had success with Loan Mod through Ditech and any contact numbers/emails. Ours is a very small 2nd, have had it for years, although it does not appear to be reducing at all!!!

and have never been late. We were thinking of geting a loan mod to lower the payment and rate which would help our overall financial situation.

Ditech is owned by GMAC and they maybe the ones to contact. If you have a hardship you can start by preparing a hardship letter and get your financials together. Do you have positive equity on the property? If not, you are in a stronger position because the second has nothing to gain if the property is foreclosed. Someone will chime in with more info, but I got to go. Good Luck...

Has anyone had any success with Ditech? Is there a number and contact person/email address that LoanSafe members are using? Our interest rate is rather high so we are looking for a rate reduction.
