 Need Loan Modification
I currently pay my mortgage to GRP Financial Services who from what I can tell is owned by Sallie Mae (if that means anything). They do not report anything on my credit report (good or bad, as if they don't exist. I have been trying to fix errors on my credit report which although most are very obvious errors and duplications, show negatively on my score of 550. The mortgage info that does show up is where my mortgage was sold and bought 3 different times in under a years time....This is one of the obvious ones that showed a few lates to since the payments were going to the previous lender and getting returned stating that you will receive new payment information from so called new owner of your mortgage....I am trying desperately to refi, but haven't been successful as of yet since I currently don't have much of a long term history due to paying off debt.....the last two years shows possibly a few lates, but can be explained in detail as to the unforseen circumstances....I have been paying GRP for somewhere between 1-2 years.....For a period of time-(emergency medical bills) I got behind. I currently pay them, but can't add the lates with interest on top of my regular amount which keeps adding up. I have paid them extra at times and have asked in writing and phone to provide statement showing where my money was applied....never receive anything from them other than periodic you owe this amount total including interest to be current. I can't seem to get anywhere-(refi-in progress, I sent report back to them showing errors-no response yet).
(GRP-when I once talked to them about paying back amount and interest added into monthly amount, they just offered a one to two month offer to do it in, which was impossible)
Please advise-I had an appraisal done 3-4 years ago that
would be 50K equity, now estimated per broker around 100K equity.....My ultimate goal is to find any way possible to get out of GRP and 7.1% fixed to current rate amount...
