The second time ASC calculated my husband's income at $900 more a month than it really is, they included job reimbursements as income. By this time I had had it with ASC. I feel that no one listened to me and every time that I called I received a different explanation and story. Out of the blue I received a letter saying, "Congratulations your loan has been reinstated and your modification file is being closed." That was the final straw. I read on a blog somewhere how a couple contacted the Board of Directors at Wells Fargo. This is what I did. My email was nice and to the point about how I had been jerked around by ASC. Before I could even open a new modification ASC began calling me to tell me that I qualified for a mod and what paperwork I needed to send again for the 3rd time. Every other week I also receive a call from a very nice person at ASC to give the status of my mod. Two days ago I also received a letter from an account specialist at ASC to tell me that they would notify me of their findings after their investigation is completed. All I want is to get a payment that will allow me to pay my bills on time. By ratteling some cages at ASC I am now seeing that they may care. Even if this does not work this time I feel like they are taking me seriously. I call at least 3 times a week and note who I spoke to and the time, in case I need to take some other kind of action. I feel like because of my persistance they know that I am not going to go away. I have never been late, always paying by the 30th, but every time the payment increases this is getting more and more difficult to do. A $3,300 a month payment is now over $5,000 a month. I just don't understand why they would not want to modify. Isn't it better to get a little less a month than to get a house back that is worth $200,000 less than the mortgage? I would think so. My husband and I make good money but as the payments have increased I can't continue to make that kind of payment for much longer. |

I think I have Ameriquest with ASC so I don't know who to call. If I don't make a payment by jan 31 I will be behind three months. NACA has sent them my information twice and ASC still tells me that have recived nothing from them and even if they did they would not look at it becasue they say I can afford to do the foreberance. Please keep us updated with your luck with ASC. |

Well, to my surprise my modification has been approved. My interest rate is being lowered 2.375% and my payments are being lowered $ 800 / mo. My new payments start March 1st and Jan and Feb payments are being added to my balance. There is a $952 cash contribution but I do not care at this point. I started to cry on the phone. I have been going through this process since November of 2008 and came to the resolve that I would loose my house. To anyone dealing with ASC, be persistant, contact the Board of Directors at Wells Fargo if necessary and don't give up. This was my 3rd try to modify and it finally paid off!!!! |

Once I started the modification process I was not being charged late charges so I paid religiously on the 30th of each month. My suggestion is to call at least 3 times a week and keep a log of your phone calls. The one time they tried to tell me that they called me and I read of my list of everytime I spoke with them, that call was not on my list. If you find that they made a mistake point it out to them or better yet Wells Fargo. And don't give up!!! |

I just got off the phone with ASC..... advised them that I did get the forbearance agreement in the mail. It was supposed to be canceled by the last rep that I spoke with last week. It wasn't.... Advised the ASC rep.... that we couldn't afford to make forbearance payments ... We needed to have our taxes/insurance included in payments. Advised them that we were working with NACA.... and they were filling for another review for a loan mod on our behalf. NACA is ready to submit the paperwork to ASC!!!!! 4.2$ down from 9.125% and PTIT of $1182 instead of PI of $1558 with an additional monthly payments of $230 for taxes/insurance... YEA! That's a savings of $606 per month.... we can handle that! Keeping our fingers crossed that ASC will except it...... |

I got my mortgage interest statement in the mail today and its says that its from ASC but wells fargo had a flyer in there about privacy policy!! So maybe instead of Ameriquest mayb Wellsfargo does have our loan. Who did you contact at wells fargo. And Applensjax when you told them you couldn't do the foreberance they were okay with that. The other day they told me I had to do that because from my information they said I could afford it and that they would talk to NACA. I didn't get a chacne to call ASC today but I will be calling them tomorrow and NACA is suppose to be calling me back to let me know what the neg has found out. I pray for everyone that is having trouble with there mortgages that everything works out. Its not like I don't want to pay for my house I just need some help thats all!! |

I do believe that this helped me because the day after I sent the email is when ASC started calling me. I am going to call ASC again tomorrow and check on my paperwork. I also want to hear 1 more time that the modification was approved. I have heard so many horror stories it is hard to believe that they are doing what they say they are going to do. I have found that you should not give up. I also asked the question more than once, Isn't it better to lower my payments a little and let me keep my house than to get a house back that is worth $200k to $250k less than the mortgage balance? GOOD LUCK! I hope to read more good outcomes with ASC mortgages. |

They knew that I couldn't make the payments especially by the dates that were requested. This had been discussed in the 4 prior phone calls to ASC over the last week and 1/2. When the rep said that the forbearance contract had not been canceled, she said that she sent an email to that dept - to cancel it. I don't know what they are gong to do. I didn't ask.... But I did ask the girl if she had heard of NACA and she said yes. She is the first person that, I had spoken with at ASC, that said that they had heard of NACA. I advised her that NACA would be contacting ASC, on our behalf. She said that she put in the notes. That's as far as the conversation went. I couldn't get ASC to give me an answer on my question: What happens after the forbearance, if I could make the payments? They couldn't even tell me if we could have a 3rd review for a loan mod. Actually, we never have gotten an answer on the decision on the 2nd request for the loan mod. They wanted to go directly into a forbearance for 3 months. I did ask her, yesterday, about the 4th month's payment (on the forbearance - that had never been mentioned to me) {3 payments of $1282 and the 4th of $2578} and she said that we wouldn't have to pay that payment, it would be added to the total loan amount. This didn't make any since to me at all. I asked her why they would be adding that amt to the loan amount, if they couldn't tell me if they were going to do a loan mod. She said, "that's just how it works!" So, at this point, I'm really confused after talking with ASC, as usual. And going to see what happens with NACA dealing with them. I am glad that tnjburgio gave the email address, above, I'm going to send an email to them. I don't want to "leave any stone un-turned"...... I want to keep my house and be able to afford to live - at the same time. I don't feel that's too much to ask for. Sorry for the long post, but there just doesn't seem to be a "Short Way" to get through this process. |

I just don't understand why ASC has to make it so hard when you tell them what is going on and how do they come up with the payments they want you to pay. Don't they understand if you couldn't afford the payment to begin with they why raise it up even more!! I am hoping that I hear from NACA tomorrow they were going to ck with ASC again because NACA has sent my paperwk twice allready and ASC said they have not gotten anything!! Lets all keep our fingers cross!!! |

At the beginning of the conversation I was told that it would take 2 to 3 weeks to receive the modification paperwork. I confirmed once again that I do not need to make my January and February payments. Then I was told that my modification was approved but it takes time because the executives of ASC need to also approve the modification before it can be finallized. Before I hung up the girl then told me to call on Monday to see if my paperwork has gone out. I am confused again. I have one conversation with one person and she told me about 4 different things. I guess when the paperwork comes it comes!! |

They reviewed 3 of my loans, approved 1 for modification, and claimed they lost the paperwork on the other 2. Could you possibly shed some more light on your success and any suggestions on getting the lowest rate? |

Re- faxed -- again...all info needed. This time it was a bit different, my partner lost her job. (I'm on disability) This should be interesting.... that lady called me, said file was being transfered to another lady..... that lady called me .. said file was being transfered for review.... and they would contact me with in 15 business days. Today is day 6 of the 15. This loan mod was started in Oct....this is the 4 or 5 review, I lost count. House - market value has dropped $100K in last 8 months. $30K was since Dec 08. We're about $50K up-side-down in mortgage. Ready to put house on market, do a DIL, and move on...... no jobs here either. Good luck to everyone, in these trying times........ Blessings! |

I had been calling ASC for my modication documents and they kept telling me 2 to 3 weeks. When I called my contact at Wells Fargo they faxed them over to me and I signed and returned. So I guess I am good to go. Don't give up. It takes time. Be persistant, I was told by Wells Fargo that they would rather work something out than take your house. |
