Has anybody had any luck modifying their loan with HSBC?

I have a first mortgage with HSBC, really so far the only thing they have told me is that they will consider a temporary 6 month modification. Have you had any update on yours?

My sister-in-law and I went to NACA on December 21, 2008 and NACA intervene on our behalf. Her mortgage loan is with HSBC. Her situation is as follows:

Before NACA Intervean:

1) Behind on mortgage
2) 9% ARM 30 years with balloon note
3) Poperty taxes and homeowner insurance not inclued in loan payment
4) Monthly payments $1235 to HSBC

After NACA Intervene - Loan Modification

1) Current on mortgage loan
2) 6% fixed rate for 2 years
3) Monthly loan payment $780 this includes property taxes and insurance
4) Balloon note still on the loan
