Req'ing Mod from Litton & GMAC...just starting

ANOTHER NOT SO GOOD UPDATE. THIS IS THE EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM ERT TEAM TODAY:
"It appears that the pre-qualification group is still reviewing the account to ensure the feasibility of a modification. At this time, our records do not reflect that a modification letter indicating the new terms and conditions has been forwarded to you. The account is being reviewed and I anticipate on having an answer from them regarding the modification within the next few days." URGH..............I THINK I'M JUST GOING TO GIVE UP! I'M SICK OF THE RUN AROUND.

Yes, several different times I was told that I was going to receive a letter. A couple times I was even told that it was already mailed. Go figure............

OMG!!! I am so mad!!
After seeing this I called ERT myself as well.
I was told that they just entered all my paperwork on the 20th, they are waiting on a BPO to be ordered, and it is still in review, no letter has been sent nor is an offer being made at this time
Every time I call I get a different answer but 3 people told me about these letter generated or mailed on the 16th but the person I just talked to said there was nothing sent out
She said Crystal Martin was handling my file and transfered me to her voice mail...I left a message but of course am not expecting a call back.

HLANE - It's wierd that we both were told about these letters that were generated on the 16th. I think I'm going to send an email to Larry Litton, what do you think? Who are you talking to in ERT? I'm talking to Sean Wilson. I just called on my lunch hour and spoke with someone in collections, VERY rude. They said I never was prequalified for anything and if they were to do a mod for me it would be at my current interest rate but raise my payment like $500.00 and still be delinquent and still have a negative escrow balance.........WHATEVER! I hate these people. I can afford my house payment, we just fell behind, and can't afford to make up the 2 months were behind and then they paid our property taxes that weren't even due when I didn't even have an escrow account! I just want these amounts rolled into the loan, there is enough equity to do it! I am furiousmad also!

I just don't know what to do from here. My husband told me just to let it go, stop calling them and just see what if anything happens. Part of me wants to do that, the other part of me wants to keep fighting and pushing but I'm not sure at this point. I am so frustrated.
Sadly I didn't get the name of the person I talked to when I called earlier.
Like you said, this is just crazy we have been given the same wrong info for days now!

My husband said the same thing. Someone called me back from Litton a little bit ago and said that it is being reviewed from the prequalification. They still made it sound like something would probably we worked out. They said mabye 15-30 more days. I did receive the name of a negoiator, Daniel Chambers. I think I'm going to try to stop stressing about this, I've literally given myself a headache today. I'll let you know if I get any updates and you do the same. I was told that collections doesn't always have all the information.

WOW, I am just at a point that I can't help but laugh because Litton is so messed up and you can't get a straight answer from anyone! So I decided to call one more time, this time I got collections who of course asked me about 3 times if I was calling to bring the account current
When I tell her no, I am calling to check on the status of my loan modification because I keep getting different answers she says "Haven't you received your trial modification packet that was mailed to you on the 16th??"
I told her I haven't and I was told earlier today that nothing was sent to me. She said that was def incorrect, it clearly shows a packet was mailed to me and I need to sign the paperwork and mail it back along with my certified payment within 14 days.
She tried to access the trial payment amount information but said she was not able to.
I am not getting my hopes up, who knows whats really going on, I'm so confused.

Newest Email I received.
"I may have not been clear in the email. The pre-qualification will either approve the trial mod or will defer the modification to the pre-qualification group. You're account is currently being reviewed by the pre-qualification group. I was under the impression that we would have a determination from that group regarding the modification within
10-15 days but have since been advised that the time frame may be a little longer. If the modification is denied, you will be contacted and receive a letter advising of the same. Likewise, you will receive a call and letter advising of the mod approval. "

I can understand why mine wouldn't get approved right away, my Housing Ratio is less than 31%. I hope they can work something out, I'm just going to wait it out and try to stop stressing. If they don't do a mod I'll keep paying like I am (60 days late) until a miracle happens and I have the extra money to catch up a payment. From the email I received, I'm thinking maybe you automatically got approved and you'll get your letter, remember I was told the other day that 1,600 packets went out on Tuesday and the rest were going out yesterday.........Let me know if you get one in the mail.

Well I just hung up with Litton.
ERT said "oh yes, a packet was generated on the 16th but we have no details and can't confirm that it was mailed yet, let me get you to loss mitigation they will give you a mailing date."
She transfered me and loss mitigation said in the old system it shows a packet was being generated on the 16th but that doesn't mean it really was.
She checked the "new" system and said 100% without a doubt nothing was mailed and we are still in review and will be for at least another 30 days or so.
I'm done, I give up. I am with you Brenic, I'm done stressing, I'm done calling. If it works out it does, if it doesn't, it doesn't.

It is all just funny, because we all know litton is screwed up-I want so bad to just go off on the people but I haven't YET. I did e-mail Mr. L Litton just today and I included a e-mail response I got back in Nov, from Noel Connel acting like help was just around the corner. I love when ea. time they ask for CURRENT paystubs etc, when if you got to the stuff when we send it it would be current. I spoke with someone yesterday and was told it's still in Review. Joke..Do they go to meetings and are told ]just tell everyone that calls it's in review. I will let everyone know if someone from litton e-mails me back.

I called litton today and was told that a BPO was ordered April 23, when one was already completed Dec 23. The man on the phone said because my invester wants one no older than 30 days. Wow it's just crazy. I can't wait for the BPO, the last one was 185,000 we owe 435,000 I assuming it won't be much higher.

I wonder if anyone is getting anywhere w/Litton these days. I can't get through on the ERT line-it goes straight to music. I'm getting the run around too but they barely asked me for anything over the phone or to fax them. I have my house up for short sale even though they said I couldn't do both at the same time. I'm like, if you don't do a mod the next step is short sale and why wait? I haven't had any bites on it as of yet so I'm assuming if no loan mod, it can go into foreclosure. I'll just move the whole family to a home where the landlord will be happy to get my monthly rent each month. Good luck to all of us.

When did you apply for your modification?

I just got off the phone with someone, I believe collections. Sometimes when I call 800-247-9727 I go straight to loss mitigation sometimes collection. At least this lady wasn't rude to me. They say my loan is still under review with the "exceptions" team. She hints around like a trial pkg will get sent but you never know. I just call every 2 days for an update. Now that Goldman Sachs (owner of Litton) returned or is returning TARF funds, I don't think they care as much and that's why they aren't going to participate in the government plan.

Hlane - You defiently have more will power than me, I can't wait until the end of the month to call them.

I had talked to Litton back in Jan but wasn't late until Feb's pmt so I'm like 4 pmts behind right now. they told me foreclosure process would begin 5/23 if I didn't make a pmt and if I got into foreclosure they couldn't guarantee me a loan mod. In Feb we had to close our business so no income-husband found work out of state so I told Litton I wanted a short sale since I was going to be moving to FL to be w/him. They said if I don't make a pmt and the house had been on the market for 2 months they may consider short sale. Well, he found work back in state so I applied for a loan mod. I faxed in stuff and they said it would take awhile for the Obama guidelines. Then I had to give info over the phone since they were doing their own loan mods. 2 wks ago they said they'd do a prequal and send me something in 2 wks. Today I had to do it again but they don't want to hear all my bills, just my income and credit card pmts AND if I owe any other loans and now it will take 30 days to pull my credit and try to prequal me again....I know this won't happen so we are preparing to just move around July and let them take the house back. I keep hearing let them foreclose don't do a deed in lieu because of credit but shoot, it's shot, what difference does it make? Thnx for the number to a person-does he speak English well??? Hard to sit and do nothing but I don't know what else I can do at this point...

I actually broke down and called them today.
I spk to someone in the ERT dept. She had no clue about anything. First told me they had not received any paperwork from me. I said OH YES you have! She put me on hold, came back and said, sorry you were right we have it all. But its still in review.
I asked if the second BPO had been done, she said it was never ordered. I said yes, yes it was! She put me on hold, came back, apologized, she found it was ordered but not yet done.

I think we'll all be looking for a new place by the time they get their act together. It is sad that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. I know they are overwhelmed but think about how we all feel! I refuse to give them more money if they are going to kick us out anyway. I guess we could stay 4 pmts behind for an eternity just to hold them off but I'd rather get the pmt where we can afford it and stay here. Hope we can all hang in there and get good mods. I'm afraid they'll send me one someday and it will be a sucky deal....

I called today for a follow up on my Litton mod. My paperwork was processed yesterday. She said it should be mailed out in the next couple of days and i should get it mid next week. My first payment she said would be due June 1 ( a lot time don't you think). Trial period for 3 months.. Then she transfered me to the collections dept to talk to them about the payment I am supposed to make on the 15th. Jorge confirmed that my mod shows in the system and he said the paper work was mailed out on the 11th (yesterday) I said that is not what the mod dept said!! He said it was processed and mailed on the 11th and i should have it next week. He said to NOT make my payment on the 15th and to follow up with them (collections dept) on the 15th to confirm that the packet went out "huh"!! He confirmed my new lower paymet of 1867.27 or something like that.. Wrote it down in the car.. Then he said it's actually a little lower but he couldn't confirm that.. Do they try to confuse us??? So I will update again soon...

I faxed my documents to them on April 5th.. So a little more than a month give or take.

Keep us posted Nitag! That is quick on submitting the paperwork to getting a package. I can't get past the phone interview-twice I had to give some approx bills but not all my expenses. How can they prequal me w/o knowing all the $ coming in and all the money going out?
I hope it all goes well. I really need them to take my pmt from $2200 to $1300/1400 or I might as well quit now!

I faxed all the stuff, called to verify they had it and they did - went over the financials with a person in the collections dept - he took limited info but he said it would speed things up. He only took my income, my car payments and credit card info "nothing else". He then said it would speed up the process. I pretty much call twice a week and email them to get updates. I know its fast and I will believe it when i see it. I haven't made my April or May payment and they told me not to that my mod was in the system to just make my June payment .. I will call back Friday to confirm what 2 people told me today.
