help with replies I, too, would like feedback on a hardship letter I have written. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to explain the unfortunate set of circumstances that led to the delinquency on my mortgage. When my loan application was reviewed and approved, I was working to supplement my disability income. Shortly after applying for the loan, my second income pretty much ceased. I struggled to make the payments, and filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2007, reaffirming my mortgage with Wells Fargo. In February of this year, I called the number given by the government for assistance (1-888-995-HOPE). After reviewing my income and expenses, I was advised to stop making mortgage payments, and walk away from the debt. Since that time, I have started working again. I am starting to get back on my feet financially; however, I cannot afford the increased payments of the adjustable rate mortgage. I am asking if there is any way that I can save my home. I have reached out for assistance from the Neighborhood Housing Services of Toledo. I am “pinching pennies” and looking for additional work. A fixed rate and my delinquency tacked on to the end of my note would mean I could stay in the house I love so much. I am anxious to hear from you and truly hope you will consider working with me on this matter. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely

help with replies I see that there are 22 replies to my post; however, I can't seem to find them! I scrolled down to the bottom of the page, and mine is the last one. Page two brings up a list of other threads. I couldn't find the answer in FAQ. Please help! BTW I have never come across a website with such a wealth of information! I am amazed and grateful!

Re: help with replies DUH!!! I just logged back on to post "I GET IT" when I saw your reply. Thank you for your reply. Who is the lender? Wells Fargo What is the interest rate at? The last statement I have dated 07/06/07 the rate was 11.875% When is it going to adjust? From what I can decipher, the rate can change monthly. How many months in default are you? The last correspondence from them (their attorneys) at the beginning of October requested seven months of unpaid premiums. Have you contacted the lender and asked for a modification? After going through the bankruptcy, my bk attorney dealt with WF. WF proposed an amount of over $1,100 a month to catch me up, which of course I couldn't pay. This Monday, as a "last-ditch effort", I called WF. They gave me a list of things to fax to them for review. The hardship letter is one of the things they requested. I have had no direct contact with WF since my bankruptcy. You know, it's been awful trying to get helpful information. That's another reason I fell in love with this website! I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the toolshed. I did not request counselling when I purchased my home, and I know I've made mistakes. I should have tried to dig myself out of this a year ago. Actually, I NEVER should have signed this mortgage! I guess I'm trying to do everything I can before I can walk away without qualms.
