Nothing new on my end. I would include whomever the original creditor/investor is on the loan in whatever type of communication you send back to Greentree. After some investigating and prodding I found out my 2nd loan they service is in one of those securitized credit derivative funds. Seems like is is administered by a firm call Ambac, and the trustee is Well Fargo. Funny thing is MERS doesn't list anyone of these folks as the owner of the loan. So who knows. Is there a more secure way I can provide my contact info to you? Like I said GT does check these boards, that is how ruthless they are. I would send a letter back to Greentree, a copy to Bank of America, a copy to the US treasury, and also to whomever the investor is on your primary loan (1st mortgage), get a copy to your local senator, and to your state attorney general, a copy to the comptroller of the currency, and a copy to the FHA as well. Make sure you list all on the letter in address portion so they can all see who's received a copy, make sure you send all certified and save copies of the certified receipts so they can't say they did not get it.

In the letter dispute the debt, tell them you cannot afford payments, request a modification or settlement in line with the one you got from bank of america on your 1st, include the docs you got from BOA in regards to your modification and send it to all the addresses as certified mail.
It's funny that BOA modded your first and then sent the 2nd to Greentree. Looks like they are letting Greentree hold the bag. I don't see any way how or why Gt would attempt to foreclose based on that action. They seem to be an over glorified collection agency, and not a true home loan provider.
