If faxing in documents for HAMP....

....does anyone know/have experience with return faxes? I'm inclined to fax add'l info in, but DON'T want my work fax to be a source of contact. So, if you have faxed from a non-private fax, has your bank/mortgager replied via that fax, or are all their contacts via phone/email?

    Thanks!

I'm sure you'll be ok, I wouldn't be worried about it. Most banks will correspond via mail when dealing with a loan modification.

I fax from my work and no, they don't return faxes. Do make sure you print out a conformation page that it was sent.

We have been dealing with Chase for over 3 years and I have always faxed documents in to them. They always have communicated with us via phone or mail. They have never e-mailed of faxed back to us so you should be okay.

I definitely agree with the members above as I have never heard of any servicer responding through fax unless it is requested by the borrower, and even then the bank will most likely refuse and make all contact via mail, phone, and occasionally through email..
