The lender who originally helped us get our mortgage recommended that we try. We have barely been able to get by paying our mortgage payments on time for the past 6 months. We know that we will not be able to pay the payments on time much longer with how tight things are for us right now. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience dealing with Chase in this kind of situation and if they will even consider a loan mod. for us since we haven't been past due...yet. |

I contacted them less than a week ago and today they called and made an offer which was not what I wanted. I want them to tack on 3 payments to the end of the loan and they want me to pay extra until paid off. I was told to fax over more documents and would hear from them next week after she discusses my request with her supervisor. |

I wonder what the reality of loan mod for someone who is now 70days past due...in loan mod dept - is it true that being in loan mod process stops foreclosure? |

Chase is a servicer who got the original loan from Option One. When you say your loan keeps transferring servicers, do you mean out of Chase's hands? Also "workinlossmit" is a real asset to this forum........he is a loss mitigator for Chase and although he is not handling my mod he gave me a heads up on what to fax to them to get the ball rolling. My contact people have kept in touch with me to update my file and let me know where I am at in the process. I am sorry that you are not getting the same service that each of us that are with Chase are experiencing. In answer to your question.......working on a loan modification with the workout dept. does not stop the foreclosure process. It will continue moving forward until a workout is agreed upon......ie. the fees will keep acruing on the account. Hope this helps.......again I am sorry about what you are going through....I hope things get better for you.... *** |

I think there is just a lot of miscommunication and you need someone to guide you on all the right steps. Like *** has done here. Yes, they are very busy and they hear the same story, like 100 times a day. So keep that n mind and be sympathetic to whoever you talk to. Maybe if you don't give em the same story, they'll listen

My lender is a very close friend - she is out of the business now (shock!) Moe: I see you are in the same area code as I. You can see the obvious destruction left behind but the hurricane of lenders...I do take responsibility in making a horrific decision to go with an adjustabl when I had a perfectly affordale 30yr fixed. but it wasn't until I tried to refi that I found out my loan was interest only AND that fact would never change upon adjustments. Loan went from 6.75 to 8.5 then in a few weeks 9.5 Quite frankly I can live on the beach in the OC for cheaper renting but I have a family and my children have their school and the list goes on. So Many Questions...So little Time Do you have a local referral for legal counsel in the event I would need this? When to seek legal counsel? We are in the Notice of Rights phase. Should I be paying some monies on my mortgage? Will being in Notice of Rights affect my Loan Modification decision? Do you have a crystal ball to any of these outcomes - thats what I really want I hope Chase can help me. I wish I could visit Rancho Bernardo branch and hand the paper directly to the person who is working on my loan mod. |

ASK THE REP IF THEY HAVE PLACED YOUR FILE ON HOLD WITH THE CHASE ATTY!!!! WHY?? BECASUE YOU DONT WANT TO BE CHARGED ANYMORE ATTY FEES AND COSTS!!!!! okay... got that off my chest... as for your question greg... DO IT YOURSELF AND SAVE THE $1900 bucks for a dinner with your signficant other go to a movie with your kids and save the remaining 1800 bucks and save your future cash for you "Good faith down payment" if your loan is modified.!!!! n8----your loan has been referred for a loan mod---but not assigned to anyone cus your in teh 70 day range... make your payment so that your not assessed atty fees and costs--- which if your in cali---then your gonna pay @ 2500 bucks more!!! so try to make your payments!!! ps n8--notice or rights is just chase going b4 a judge to say.. yeah this is our loan and mr n8 is responsible for the lien---- the judge then asks what your doing to rectify the issue.. you say you've asked for a loan mod wiht chase and that you hope ot have an answer in about 60 days.. bad thing about you pre foreclosure folks is that yhou dont have an assigned rep watching your account. but the "legal" issue is between you and an atty. thanks for the props kit Last edited by workinlossmit; 01-13-2008 at 09:06 PM.. |

I'm in the same boat - have been paying my mortgage payments in full and on time, but can't do it for much longer. I have tried getting in touch with Chase loss mitigation, but they won't talk to me because I'm not late. I have another loan with Citi and they have sent me a loan mod package to complete before I go late on payments. Is Chase doing anything to help us that want to keep our house and our credit? Thanks!! Last edited by heck23; 02-21-2008 at 10:46 PM.. Reason: wanted to be more clear |

The short answer to your question is yes you can if your interest rate is scheduled to adjust anytime soon....... So could you please, if you don't mind, start your own thread under the "tell us your story" section of the forum and be more specific to your situation........ What state are you in? What is the interest rate now, what is it going to adjust to? You indicated two loans, what are the current loan amounts and the value of the house now? Thank you.

I was turned down again today for the Chase modification. They stated incomplete application. This is total crap. I have been doing this since April 2009 and they lost the first application because they said it was incomplete - redid the Application again and sent in May. Got a letter today saying they are denying me because of Incomplete Application. They are totally wrong. Please someone have ana executive phone number I can call to get this to work! Thanks |

I've called every week since June with the excuse that I'm missing some sort of documentation, then when I tell them I've already faxed it they say, "let me see....oh yeah, I see it here". My last status was that it was with a negotiator, when I called today they said they had canceled due to insufficient documentation. I just don't know what the hell is going on over there. I have a record of dates and names of who I talked to every time I called, its all just one huge cluster ****. I don't see how they get anything done with how they are handling these applications. mark |

Does Chase formerly WAMU do loan Modification for rental properties? I was just recently informed that they do not. I filed my application back in May 2009. This is a property I lived in from the day I bought it until my divorce. After my divorce I couldn't afford the home anymore so I rented it out at a loss. When I called Chase for an update, they told me that rental properties are not modified at this time. Is that true? Any possibility it may be offered in the near future? I understand that they want to help people keep their homes but this is really my home and I currently live with my parents in order to be able to afford keeping the house. What can I do? |

I have a rental that I purchased as a owner occupied, it is a negative arm that is currently at a low interest rate, I will not be able to make the payment once rates go up. My current residence is on a 5 year arm at 6.5%, I'm barely able to make the current payment. I have never been late on any payments. I would like to modify both properties before the rates go up. Which one should I do first or could I do them both at the same time? They are both with chase. |
