Wachovia to Wells with Hamp Trial

I just got my trial modification through Wachovia, my first payment is due May 1- I paid april 14. Today I get a letter from Wells stating my loan is being transferred and I will receive a NEW Account number....(sigh) Im So scared this will screw up my trial mod and affect my chances for a permanent mod. I knew they bought out Wachovia and knew the loan would get transferred....But,,,,,,,,WHY NOW???!!!??

any one gone through this experience? / going through this??

It seems the last of Wachovia's loans are finally getting transferred to Wells Fargo. You will have to wait until the transfer is complete before inquiring about the trial period. Hopefully Wells will honor the trial period you have been offered..
    Keep Fighting!
