First let me say that I think this forum is GREAT! Wonderful people and all willing to share. Thanks for that. Now my story...I just went into my 4th month behind(Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov) in my mortgage with Suntrust. I got some bad info from a place called Money Managers LLC, which I sent $500, but thankfully thats it. When I first fell behind I didn't know what to do, and a friend suggested this place. BIG mistake that I trusted what they said, wanted two payments of $1750 before they did anything and the $500 was a "membership" fee...I know I'm stupid, but have learned "grasshopper" since reading at this forum.(wish I found it first) I have since been told by Suntrust last week that they are sending a Loan Mod package, which I have not received yet. This was due to filling a form/request at the govt website. Since reading posts here I have set up an appointment with NACA on Nov 7th in the nearest city to me and REALLY hope that they will give me the guidence I feel I need. The reason I am in the position I am is because I bought my house 07/07 with no $ down and could handle the payment at the time thanks to extra work and so on...well now I can't pick up the extra hours at my job and have had no luck picking up a part-time job. Add the fact that my payment has increased both years and well here we are. I'm not sure if this is enough info..it just makes me sick typing this..I just want a payment I can handle. I know that this is partly my falt but I just wanted a place for my children to grow up instead of an appartment. Well any feedback (good or bad) is welcome, as again I am trying to learn and ready myself for the good fight. |

Anyone here have experience with Suntrust? I did a search on this forum and found the following that might help you: Suntrust is dishonest and unreliable!! SunTrust Mortgage Mod in Progress Suntrust, I can hardly wait, not. |

I went to the NACA workshop on 11/7. I must now fill out all my info online and have an appointment scheduled on 12/14 at their office. (You can do it over the phone, I just thought going to the office was a better option for me since it's not really an inconvenience for me.) I plan to have everything they asked for done so they can proceed and submit my request to Suntrust. My workshop was for Home save & for people looking to buy houses. It seemed to have more who were home buyers getting information, but there were still a good number of folks looking for NACA's help like myself. The workshop lasted 4 hours and was a requirement before they will proceed in helping you. (It's step #1) Well again if anyone has thoughts, comments, or questions, please feel free to post. |
