What Will My Final HAMP Loan Package Contain?

Hi Everyone....still trying to survive this nightmare.
I made all 3 HAMP payments. I called to see "what's next?" I was told that the next step is that we may receive a FedEx package in the mail with the final payments/terms etc. inside. I guess this is a "maybe" even though we made all payments on time and followed all the rules so far. Anyway, IF we receive this package I was told by the modification person that I will have 48 hours to return the package with a payment included. Since it's the beginning of November (and November was our final trial payment) am I assuming right that they expect the December payment to be returned with the packet? I am SO NERVOUS about this. I feel like we are in this neverending limbo. I can't ever get a straight answer and I constantly feel sick and worn out. This is really taking it's toll.
Can anyone tell me what to expect? Thanks so much everyone!

I made my final trial payment Sept 1st. Permanent mod paperwork arrived on Sept 18th and my first payment was made on Oct 1st. They gave me a week to mail back the notorized paperwork, but I made my first new payment over the phone. I have gmac. Who is your lender. Good luck.

Our mortgage holder is Flagstar (Fannie investor).....We are working with Sterling Home Retention, a company Flagstar hired to help them.
You know, even though I was told that today by a loan mod person..it seems like I get a different story every day. I just want to know what to expect and they act like I am bothering them with my questions. I can't imagine getting this FedEx package and having 48 hours to send it back with a payment (although I have that payment saved just in case). I just want this to be over with so bad. It's been a year and I just feel drained....To be honest I feel I am getting depressed to the point where I may need to see my doctor. I am not prone to depression but this has been like a monkey on my back for way too long and I never know what each day may bring. It makes me sad/scared and anxious every time my phone rings or I check the mail. I can't take it much longer...

Except for sometimes getting conflicting answers from customer service reps, my loan mod process went pretty smoothly compared to all the stories I read on this site. But I know the feeling of being scared and anxious when the phone rings or when the mail comes, because since I got my loan mod, I now have to deal with all the credit card debt I have, which was caused by using credit to pay my old mortgage payment. Hang in there!

Thank you all for posting. We have a larger initiative going on to provide the American Homeowner a voice to get the system in some kind of order.
