Hope for Homeowners - any success?

Just wondering if anyone has had any success with the Hope for Homeowner's Hotline. At the suggestion of a canned reply from MHA Compliance, I called the hotline, got moved to the Escalation department and spoke with a seemingly helpful and caring person there. I explained all the misrepresentations, lies, delays, and incorrect information provided by BofA. She has set up a 3-way appointment with my loss mitigation analyst to review my file for next week.

Has anyone had any progress with the hotline?

Thanks.

They will try and clarify where you stand and try and get supervirors if needed on the conference call. But you may just run into voice mails as we did when given names of supervisors.

Hope is good, she was very persistent, but its still you and HOPE vs the bank. They don't seem to have any majic powers other than to try and help between you and your servicer.

Re: Hope for Homeowners - any success?

I started working with them after I started with NACA. I was just told last week after calling the Chase Homeownership Preservation Team that works with HOPE that since I am with NACA everything was referred to that team. She told me that if I don't get a good outcome with NACA/Chase, then they still have my file and will take it from there. interesting.

Humm, I was thinking of using HOPE after having used NACA with no luck. Communication with the assigned counselor is useless. I can't even leave a voicemail for him because his voicemail is constantly full.

After having read your experience, makes me wonder if I should go ahead. Our servicer (Colonial) told us they could care less if we used a third party let alone NACA. They told us that we can do what NACA does. Our servicer hasn't refused to speak with us even though NACA has sent them all of the documents and representation agreement.

Guess it just depends on if your mortgage is with a big lender or not. Good luck!!!!
