I'd like to use this thread to give details about the process. For some background: My wife bought a house with her mother and sister in 2007. They thought they were all on the loan, but that all three of them are only on the title, and my wife is the only one on the loan. The loan is for $525,000 with $420,000 on a 5 year ARM at 6.75% currently, and the rest at something like 12% fixed. Both were through Countrywide. I'll keep you updated if anyone's interested! |
