Out our Press Democrat local paper (from the NY Times)... Gretchen Morgensen's last statement says it all, "Oh, what a tangled web these mortgage lenders weave."

I should probably have said this is one homeowner who is NOT giving up the fight to keep their home.

Interesting details; several note transfers with no document trail; about transfer after homeowner filed bankruptcy. Coult demanding proof of securitized transfers. If not produced, can't sell/foreclose. If produced, will be demanded to show why they could not produce documentation earlier in the court process.

I have a realtive who's mortgage is in MERS. Funny thing is the company who they say has it is defunct, and forbidden rom doing mortgages in the state of CA

Thanks Arlyn. This is proof that the produce the note theory may work, in some cases anyway. If I end up in Court, I hope this case will set a precedent.
