Need Some Advice

Hello all. All things were progressing to a loan modification with Sovereign Bank and now my partner quits his job and is moving out.
I am at a loss as to what to do. $3K a month I cannot do by myself. People say, hey get a renter to help you, oh yes in today's world open your home to strangers. I would be constantly thinking when will I come home and find that someone has stolen all my stuff, or let me beloved dog out and he is lost. I have savings and don't want to utilize all that I have and then be out of a home too.
I have acquired an attorney to help me figure out what is best. Their thoughts are to send another letter indicating now that I have only one income and show my lender that I am not going to walk away from my home. My Oct payment is due, I have the funds, but they lender doesn't seem to respond to people at are current. Help!

Re: Need Some Advice

is your partner on your loan? I know that it is probably difficult to sell your home in this kind of market, however, is that an option?

Re: Need Some Advice

If you want to keep going through the modification process, we will help you. As far as making October payment, well, hard to say. I personally did not pay last month. My reason was first and foremost, I did not have the money. Second, it appears that the BOA is helping homeowners who are in default before they helping those who are current. I could be wrong with this last statement, but it is just something I have concluded. If you are willing to devote the time and energy to this cause, we are here to help. There is a ton of helpful information on this forum and as you will be able to tell, lots of people willing to help too. I wish you the best of luck and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you.
