Hamp

I was told today that we qualified for HAMP. Our lender is Wells Fargo, and it's a FHA backed loan. We fell behind in July after months of trying to keep our heads above water. The final straw was when our township double billed our taxes and shot our escrow account up, which raised our payments. We have since rectified the tax situation and they are working on rebalancing the escrow. We were taken out of the modification process once for a broken payment agreement (which we never agreed to, it raised our payments another $600 a month!) and we were put back in the modification process yesterday. I called the executive team? and seemed to get further with them.

Anyway, what can I expect from here? As I said we are now 90 days behind and waiting to find out what HAMP can do... thanks!

Yes, with the exception of tax returns, they didn't ask for that

Well they will more than likely ask for it once they notice they have not recieved it. Make sure to follow up on your case at least once or twice a week to make sure nothing falls through the cracks..

Re: Hamp

You might want to include the IRS tax form 4506-t. You can get it from irs.gov website. They will eventually ask for this too. Better to give them everything they need than wait for them to ask for it.
