I would like to thank Moe in advance for all he has done and continues to do for all of us, we need more people like him. This is my question, if I may, I just recently felt victim to health and personal issues which caused me to suffer a financial hardship. I contacted BofA sometime in April and advise of what was going on and that I may be falling behind in the upcomming months. No help at that time due to LTV. As recent as July, contacted them again and advised that all my funds were depleted and asked for forbidance for the August and possibly the September payments as I know I was going to be struggling. They advised my holder, Freddie Mac did not allow such thing. Again, at that time I had never been late with my payment. In August, called them again, this time I advised that finances are worst and I will not make it, all CC maxed out and barely making thru the necesities, asked about the HASP refi, they advised of a Phase 3 of HASP that I was pre-qualified for due to LTV of 116% and the new phase will allow 125 % ltv and that this phase will not be in place until sometime in September, of course, maine requirement, not being later 30 days in 12 months. Well, missed August, refi out the door. We began discussing options, MOD was the only option at this time. Gave all my info over the phone. Less than 2 weeks later received an offer for trial payment period. Not much of a difference as they only dropped abour .25 interest and advised that the ammount was a straight on 31% DTI. Called them after I recieved the trail offer, but they were unable to give any details on the MOD. My question is, I am 60 days behind, may have enough funds in the next couple of weeks to pay and catch up on my current loan as agreed with discussions with the retention dept at B of A. But the rep at BofA advised to disregard my prior arrangement with the retention department and just focussed on the trial offer. Yet they do not have any details, no one at the phone number knew anything about the offer, just that the trial letters are being sent out faster than the system can be updated . It was a very simple offer, call today to start your trail period, additional document on the way in a few days, nothing else... Please, any advise on what should I do will be appreciated. Just not sure what to do specially after educating my self on this forum. Thanks in advance... |
