From Forebearance to Hamp with WF

Last time I posted on here, we were going to walk from our home. I finally see hope for us. We made our first forbearance payment one month ago. After reading horror stories about other peoples situations, I was ready to kick myself for making that big payment. Last week, we received a letter from WF, offering us a payment that is $200 less, and this is for the HAMP program. My husband called to speak to several people about it. We set up the first payment to be deducted from our account on October 29th. And we will be receiving the packet within 7 days. We get the packet signed and our financial info returned to them and they start the process of getting us set up for a permamnent mod through the HAMP program. This takes 45-90 days, which is why we have the payments set up for 3 months. Only the first payment comes out automatically. We can call back in a month to set up the rest, but it is just the first so that they could get this info to us. My advice is to call your lender and speak to several different people so that you know what is really going on. I feel that this is going to work out for us. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!

Congratulations and I hope the best outcome for your situation. Many times it will take calling and calling and talking to many different reps. Its pretty crazy the conflicting information you will get from different reps..
