The first time we were only offered a forbearance, which was very discouraging. Then when my husband was formally laid off and took a position with a 54% wage cut it became impossible to make our payment. We began talking with BOA in April 2009. It wasn't until I found this blog that I was able to enact any action from BOA. I emailed management and was contacted that same afternoon. This nice woman put me directly in touch with my assigned negotiator. We spoke and everything seemed to be in motion. Two days later we received another forbearance in the mail. We called our negotiator and she told us to disregard that paperwork, she had already approved us and we should be receiving revised loan docs in 2 weeks. I pray this is what it sounds like. Everyone keep your fingers crossed. Thank you, thank you for this blog. |
