I am currently at a 51% home rate and if they would drop it even a few hundred dollars we would be ok. So I got a letter today from Indymac telling me to pay up in full by October 6 or they start foreclosure procedings. I am a single mom with 2 little ones and am scared to death we are going to lose our home. I contacted several lenders today for help and one directed me to Pacific Debt Solutionsw for help. I have talked to them and gotten the information and I can afford the payments to get their help. The guy told me I am a prime candidate for assistance and the modification but I am extremely scared of getting their assistance. Has anyone else used them or heard of them? I hate to give them money and it be a scam or end up in a few months with no home for us. I am lost and hate to jump into a good thing that is too good to be true, my luck never lets me be the one that gets the good end of a deal. Please let me know if any of you know anything about them or have had experience with them. |

Before spending money on a company that MAY help you (or may help you out of what funds you may have), I'd check out the HAMP program and see if you qualify for that. You most likely received the "intent to foreclose" notice with the cure date to bring your loan current. You say you've called around to lenders? Have you spoken to your lender and see what options they have available? |

Remember, you didn't have your own house when you first moved out of your parents' house. Renting is a lot less stressful. If you have saved any of the money you haven't paid in the last 3 months, you will begin to realize the benefit of staying in the house without making a payment as long as possible. |
