Ok,

I will try to be short and straight to the point. Had a mod with Homecomings Jan 09. I now have GMAC and have asked for a HAMP mod. I actually ask for principal reduction or forberance so I could qualify as my balance is a few hundred more that the limits for HAMP. Last I heard is my mod is in final review, they are looking at the escrow which they have and then they will determine my payment amounts.

My second Wells Fargo reduced my interest to 2% today while I wait on gmac and they will follow suit if I am approved for HAMP.

My question is do you think GMAC is really considering the forberance or reduction so I can qualify for HAMP? The customer service says that they are working on payments for me and I should know something in 5 days.

I wish I had a suggestion, but I am not familiar with that situation. I agree it is frustrating to write a post and have no one respond-I wish I knew what to say. I don't think anyone is getting reductions-just principle forberence.

I would just keep posting..that's how I got started-in the beginning nobody responded to my posts-I didn't give up-I kept posting-it depends upon your wording keep trying, sooner or later you will get attention-believe me it will happen. don't give up..... :-) Don't worry..be happy-enjoy life that is all you have. !!
