I called Countrywide and they said it looks like a workout was agree upon and had to go through final quality Control before issuing me the new loan docs. I did found out the interest rate is 6.75% which is down from 7.975%. The original loan was an ARM and the adjustments were ludacrious. I was curious if I can reject the 6.75 and have them come up with someone better. I mean I am hearing of people get 2 or 3% and I am not sure why I only got about a 1% drop on mine. Anyone have any advice/guidance for me? Thank greatly. J |

If it's home affordable, it should be 31% of your gross monthly income. Those receiving 2 and 3% are receiving that based on the income. There are specific guidelines and it's calculated based on those. |
