When I received that message, a couple of reps at WF told me that their site does not always work and not to worry about it. However, at one point, our home phone number was some how deleted and only my husband's cell number was on the account but as soon as our home phone was added back as our main contact number, our online access to wellsfargo.com/assist was restored. Since that time, it has always worked.
Our file was assigned to a negotiator on 5/14 and when I logged in last Monday, 8/3, our status finally changed to:
Current Status: Preparing modification agreement A loan modification document for your account is being drawn up and mailed to your property address. Please review and sign this document, returning it to us in the prepaid envelope together with your required contribution payment within 5 business days.
That was a good day!
We received the Loan Modification Agreement on 8/5 and are now eagerly awaiting our account to be updated and see how our last payment (still unapplied) will be processed. It posted the same day that the agreement was printed. I debate each day if I should call or wait another day - I'm almost afraid to call and hear that they made a mistake as we are still so happy and want to keep the good feelings but the suspense is starting to get to me!
