loan mod. homecomings financial

Im new here so Im sorry if this is in the wrong place. Just wanted to explain my situation a bit and maybe get feedback from people who may be in the same shoes..Last year I was laid off from a job making about 20,000 more than I currently am with a company vehicle and such.It started getting harder to keep up with bills and my mortgage and i was late on a few payments..Right around tax time I was able to get current with everything and things were fine for a while.This is my first home, I have two loans with Homecomings( who bought it about 2 yrs ago) my first is 7 .5 % and my second is 11.1 %, which I consider awful seeing I had great credit up unitil now.Its an adj. rate and due in Sept. of this year to adjust.In april of this year I sent in a workout package with Homecomings and since then its been awful.I was told that my faxes never went, so I next day mailed it..Still said it never went..this went on for a month or so..June 3rd I was told the package was under review and I should have an answer shortly..well Im still waiting for an answer, and am still struggling to make my 2300.00 mortgage..Im just about ready to give up but Ive worked so hard for this place and my two kids to live here..Im not quite sure where to start..I contacted savemyhomeusa.com they said I was approved for a loan mod and for me to send them 1995.00..If I had 1995.00 to send them Id send it to Homecomings..Im two months behind and I will make a payment next week but Im still behind..I was told by homecomings last nite that Its under Management review now and I should hear from them or call back in 7 days..ive been given so much bs from them people that Im not sure who to believe..NOW..I got a letter saying that GMAC took the loans over from Homecomings..I know its the same company but Im not sure if thats good or bad for my situation...I have nobody to ask questions, Im fairly young and new to this..Im willing to get two more jobs if thats what it takes to help this, but Im hoping a loan mod will start me off in the right direction...Just seems Ive been waiting a long time, and my luck its all for nothing..any input? or contacts where I can email someone other than customer service..any info would be appreciated...thanks john

ok so...as I was writing the previous post just about an hour ago, I was on hold with GMAC..(theres a shocker) ..I spoke to a surprisingly pleasant woman and went through the first 5 minutes of questions..she then stated that just today my Loan Mod. was put on a 3 month trial Forbearance Plan starting in Sept. and in Dec. they will hopefully go through with the loan mod...this was a complete surprise to me after all of this mess the past 3 + months..the best part is they dropped almost $900 dollars a month off of my
payment during this trial period...Has anyone been through this with GMAC in the past? I guess im excited just because I actually see progress and it seems to be going in my favor for once..at least I hope..any input would be great, thanks- john
