Ditech\GMAC - Loan Modification Forum

my second was modified been paying for 6 mos and account still not updated .. recieve a letter that they are going to chargeoff my account .. being cashing my payments ... they now say they never got my signed docs in feb. will not except the ones that we faxed again in march . but they cashed the Check I sent with the orginal docs. I have till June 27th to get this fixed .. I cant get anyone to talk to me in the mod department automatically transfer me to the recovery department. Finally got some in the loan mod. was on hold for 30 mins as he was checking into it .. then he disconnected and never called me back . I was so upset ( that was the 10th transfer ) ask to speak to a supervisor sorry u need to go to revecory and before u can say anything they transfer me. Thought I had this all worked out 2 weeks ago said they call me back if any issues correcting it go fiqure no call back and it wasnt corrected. Called my lawyer see if they can do anything. It was closed with them becuase the mod went through but she is helping me anyways I think.. I havent heard from her yet .sent her the letter from the mod and the recovery chargeoff letter and the my statements showing posted payments. I dont have the orginal docs now ... because I FEDEXEd them DUH !! GMAC stinks!!

Hi Taram,

Sorry to here this terrible situation has happened to you. You did right by contacting your attorney ansd see if she can negoitate with GMAC to see if you can get the modification reapproved. Weird because I have heard quite a few cases here were the lenders are not updating their systems with the new terms after the modification is complete. I'm thinking they are just backed up with mods and some are falling through the cracks...

July 20 th.. funny after 11 or so transfers to gmac. I called the lawyer haven't heard from her.. got home last night after work. found a FEDEX on my porch ..letter dated July 21 lowered interest rate 7.99 was 14.25 to 9.99 and wrote of interest and lates from nov to aug.. but this time not writeing down a portion of the principal .. (this is a second) I guess just keep on pushing and making a stink and eventually it works out .. I have till aug 4th to pay the downpayment which I assume thats the aug payment and it begins sept 1.

This seems like a good modification on your 2nd. A principle reduction on this loan would be almost impossible...
