Hello All, I am like so many homeowners across america, I purchased my home at the height of the market and took out an Option Arm loan. The result is that I am in a loan that I desperately want to get out of and the value of my home is $80k under the mortgage note. I have a first mtg serviced by Aurora Loan services($320k) and a second mtg with GMAC @($42k). I would like to do a loan modification, but Aurora has been less than forward in helping my situation. I have not been late on a payment, but I can't build any equity with the house totally undervalued and the payments on the principal & interest are too much. I have been approached by a mtg broker telling me that with the help of a forensic loan audit($500) sent to my loan servicers, that they will work with me to not only get a loan mod.,but also a principle reduction............ I would like to know if anyone has applied a forensic loan audit to a successful loan mod and principle reduction???? How reliable is this loan audit in helping me to keep my home and begin to buiild equity??????? |
