Question regarding hardship letter

I am attempting to create my own hardship letter- I am confused when reading the example stating " My situation has got better because ...)
If it is a hardship letter- things are not getting better for me- do they have to seemingly be better in order for the lender to consider adjusting this loan for me?

Re: Question regarding hardship letter

I never included Better in any of my hardship letters, as I am not better of than 4yrs ago, I just explained I will continue to make my payments if I survive because I have no cash left over for FOOD, and nobody else will help because I have a Job

Jrtxey,
You can write a hardship letter explaining in detail the hardship and the circumstances that caused it. Explain what steps have been taken to correct the situation. Provide the lender with your plan to get back on track and stay there. Assure the lender that you are a responsible homeowner who just needs a second chance and that you are very motivated to save your home.

Re: Question regarding hardship letter

Thanks both of you.
SillyWorld- How did it go with your hardship letter four years ago? Did they give you a lower payment?

Re: Question regarding hardship letter

I get what you mean- It is truly an nightmare In my situation I do not make anything near my monthly mortgage.
$2,400.00 a month mortgage and I barely make $1,000.00.
I do not know how they can work with that.

Yes that is realy low, maybe rent a room out, you need little more income, or they will be on the battle to take the house over

Hi Jrixey,

when you get a moment you should download the EBOOK from the homepage. AWESOME and it gives you a step by step process on how to apply for the loan modification.
