BOA Phone Representative Denial

I was just denied loan modification over the phone by a BOA phone representative after I gave her all of my income and expense information. She claimed there were no programs for me. Freddie Mac owns my loan, so I would assume I can maybe qualify for the Making Home Affordable program. Do I try to continue?

Hi Harasbosa welcome and thank you for joining.

Did BofA give you any specific reasons as to why you did not qualify for the program? Also if this was your first calling to see if you qualify please keep calling and talking to different reps. Remember some reps won't be much help. Here is the email that you can try, its helped many members on the forum begin there process quite quickly:

One thing you can do if it seems your expenses are too high is cut them down and/or cancel them altogether,like cable,phone,etc. Also, in my case I told them to "zero" out my credit cards (I have many) in effect saying I have no credit card payments. I tried this after some advice from NACA as I too was denied for a mod several times before. Now I am being considered for a mod,and told to wait a month for the decision.

At this point,my goal is to keep my house,and if I default on my cards,oh well. I need a roof over my head.
