Just hit 100 days... How long does bofa take??

My file for a loan modification (due to loss of income hardship) was started on March 12th. I was told ,initially, that it would take 30 to 90 days to get a response. Here it is, 100+ days and still no update. I call every week. How long can this thing take? Is the fact that it is taking this long a good thing or a bad thing? One person at bofa said they usually give a denial quickly and that it could be a good thing, but I am really worried. Any feedback/experiences are appreciated. thanks

I'm working with GMAC and originally submitted all the required paperwork on March 16, 2009. Still fighting with them...
