Frustrated with Loan Modification through CCO Mortgage

My husband lost his job and our only source of income a few months back. We contacted our mortgage company for a loan modification after we made sure we met the eligibility requirements. We did everything they asked of us (hardship letter, proof of income, monthly bill list,etc..) and we were told it would take 4-6 weeks for a decision. Well 13 weeks later, we still have no decision and keep getting the run around every time we call. We have spoken to at least 5 different people who tell us they'll forward our case to their supervisor and still nothing! When we call the direct extension of the decisioner, her mail box is full and taking no more messages. To add insult to injury, we were reported to the credit bureau by CCO for being delinquent, even though we are NOT delinquent..we DID pay our mortgage every month...what they've ended up doing is "holding our payment " until they reach a decision on our loan mod. When I questioned them about this they told me that I'll have to take it up with the person in charge of our loan mod., which is the person who hasn't gotten back to us in 13 weeks!! I am in tears about this and don't know where to turn! I feel like I have done everything in my power to stay current and keep my home, and in the end my hands are tied and I feel like I am at their mercy. Any Suggestions would be very appreciated!
