I was wondering if anybody had contact information to the loss mitigation department. I tried in vain several times to contact that department, but I keep getting bounced back between the call center in India and the refinance department. If I could only speak to a representative in the actual department im thinking I could get somewhere. Here are my stats: I paid $560K for my home in southern california, now its worth between $400K and $420K roughly. I have a 30year fixed at 6.25% first and a HELOC second mortgage. I put no money down. After the economy took a dive, our incomes have dropped. I am looking for them to lower my payment by $1000 dollars. I believe if we can get the mortgage lowered by $1000 we can keep our home and maintain it. I am right now two months late going on three. Neither one of my loans are fannie mae or freddie mac. The investors are both with BofA and Bank of New York (HELOC). I keep getting calls from India and all they want to know is when I can make a payment. I went to the HUD website and got in touch with Springboard counseling, and I am working with a FREE counselor to try to talk to the bank on my behalf, but she is painfully slow. So, therefore, does anyone know any actual person in the America that actuall works in the loss mitigation/modification department that I can talk to that can take my case? Its either this or a short sale. I hope the bank helps me. Thanks for any info. |
