American General Finance Loan Modification Help

Has anyone had success receiving a mod from american general finance. I am only 1 month behind and they are threatening to foreclose. I am very worried and need any advice I can get. Did you go through naca or hire a attorney My interest rate is 11.75 and they will not work with us.

Re: american general finance mod help

If this is a second lien to your CW first you would need to go directly through them for any type of modification..........if you are working with CW for a modification through the Making Home Affordable plan.........AGF might be more willing to help you with a modification once your modification on the first is complete.

Because the forum is a free , do it yourself, forum............we wouldn't have information regarding for profit companies on the forum.

Re: american general finance mod help

American General Finance is a wholly owned subsidiary of AIG. AIG Chairman told a US Congresswoman from Ohio point-blank that they would be participating in the Making Home Affordable program. This was in April- so far, nothing. Kilroy for Congress - Home This is ridiculous considering AIG's participation in the TARP bailout. Does anyone have any success stories or news about American General loan modifications?

Re: american general finance mod help

American General is a hard money lender and their MO is to take properties because most of the time there is equity in the homes. I have not seen one in 2 years to be honest.
